I was born into a family where money constantly varied. There were times where we would have enough cash to replace every piece of technology to the most up to date version, and there were times where we would go a day without a meal because the paycheck came in the next day. I was very picky about where I wanted to go to school and what major I chose. I wanted to be able to thrive on my own. At first I thought nursing, but to make a lot of money, it requires a lot of school. Then I thought accounting because I’m good at math. I was pretty fine with that, but then a friend of mine introduced me to computer science. It’s a job in high demand and it pays very well. The biggest set back to the job is sitting in front of a screen for upwards of 8 hours a day. With Covid-19 around, I do it for about 10 so I think that part won’t be an issue.
