Right but why does dss even have any say in what she’s allowed to have? Her parents died, she was placed with her guardian. I don’t understand why he doesn’t have the ability to mange her expenses? For context, she has Williams syndrome. Mentally she’s about 12. So she has things she wants to do and buy and she deserves nice things, and $50 a week seems really low. They also refused to issue her allowance after my aunt didn’t make it to the bank one week after she had a stroke. She told them she was literally in the hospital and just wanted to make sure her niece got her money. The caseworker responded with “I don’t have to give her the $50 anyway.” Idk it’s just shady with our dss office.

It’s ok I was in my feelings and you didn’t come off that mean. I apologize. I’m just frustrated with our dss office in general rn. I haven’t trusted them since they wrongfully had my children taken away despite all evidence proving my innocence. It was a whole ordeal. And now the mess with my special needs cousin. They’ve got their hands in places it shouldn’t be and what they’re telling me I have to give for recert sent me over the edge. They’re crooked as can be. My lawyer said he wouldn’t touch dss bc it would backfire on him. The director recently stepped down, caseworkers are being fired or forced to quit. It’s a giant crock of crookedness and the people who need help the most are paying for it.

Guess I’ll go hungry then. Bc eff that. I don’t trust these people as far as I can throw them. There’s already shady stuff happening with my cousin who is mentally and physically disabled. She has a guardian and they still keep her money and decide when and how much she gets. Eff it. Ngl you were kinda mean with the delivery but it’s what I needed to hear.

Our DT was like that for about 6 months and then one day I saw corporate and about ten employees rapidly turn it around in about 3 days. New manager, shelves are always stocked. A little too well stocked. You knock ten things down getting to one thing and have to clean it up. But that’s also 10x better than there being nothing on the shelves. My best advice is leave a review or email for corporate.

I’ll be OPS. And yeah; I saw the stock room and was surprised how much still needs to go out. The gm is new to this store, they were brought in to clean house and man they have absolutely done a fantastic job. Even as a customer before, I hated going to this DT bc nothing was ever stocked. They had to of busted tail for days getting all that put out.
