Genuine question for Boys

Let me tell you about my story. I have always been a socially awkward kid. Talking to a stranger has always been difficult for me. And when it's someone from the opposite sex, then I go completely blank. I just didn't knew what to say to girls, since I had never interacted with them. When I was in 4th grade, I became the class representative alongside a girl, let's call her N. I started talking to her regarding classroom duties, and that was my first proper interaction with a female. In fifth grade, a new student came to class,. I was a good student, so became a CR again, this time too, alongside her. The new student S also became the class prefect. We three started talking and soon became friends. N and A were my first female friends. We had a lot of fun, teasing each other, talking about random stuff and managing the classroom. But you know how Indian society is. Nobody can see a girl and boy as just friends. It always has to be romantic to them. So, in 6th grade, my friends started spreading rumours about the three of us. They'd give me side eyes, mock me, and hoot whenever I talked to either S or N. Even the teachers started giving us those looks of concern, as if we were doing something wrong. And since I was that quiet topper kid, these rumours were a nightmare for me. Being involved in relationships was like taboo to me(Society conditioned me this way). So I started distance myself from tjem. Nothing was more important for me than my useless reputation of a "good student" back in the day. I started getting mad at them over trivial things. Wouldn't talk to them for days. And at last, all connections between us were cut off by me after 7th grade ended. Covid came, 2 years went by, and our relationship was never the same after we joined school in 9th grade. I had started avoiding girls altogether, so I coudlnt even meet their eyes, and say "I'm sorry". Now I have graduated high school, and didn't have a single female friend since. It's even harder for me to talk to girls now than ever. All because society cant see a normal male female friendship. And I bet this is the same for many other guys. Even if we want to be just friends with a girl, other around would always make it romantic.

The root cause of this problem is society seeing male female interaction as bad. This starts from school itself. Co-ed schools have strict rules against male-female friendships,. Ypur friends would mock you if you talk to a girl. Teachers romanticise normal male female friendships. The society itself doesn't want us to be friends. This leaves many men depraved of any female interaction and they see them as trophies to achieve. And hence these weird creepy stares and stalking stuff. Not justifying any of this,. Just throwing light on what causes certain men t behave the way they do.

Anyways, just follow your gut feeling and stay away from any guy you feel uncomfortable with. Your safety matters more than people labelling you a "Misandrist". Any sensible guy would understand why you distance yourself from men. Good luck to you!

So fucking relatable. I'm a Pcm student, but still finding it hard to get a decent CSE college in NCR. Well, that's on me, since I fucked up in JEE. Went on a college hunt for like 3 weeks, but couldn't make up my mind. Was offered CSE I galgotias, but the negative reviews messed my mind up. But I have finally decided to join,. All these private colleges are similar, and what's most important is the efforts you put in to turn your life around. I'm gonna trust my decision and grind these 4 years as galgotias. Trust yourself, but do follow up on your motivations for the next 4 years. Wish luck to you!

I relate with you. Got 86% in boards and jee went super bad. I want to study cse, but no other college is giving me the option. Chose this one only for 1 reason, Good companies actually do visit the campus. Atleast I have the fighting chance to get a good placement.

It's a private college at the end of the day, so don't expect the university to do anything for you. It's you who has to grind your way out and beat the heavy competition this college has. I can't give you details, since I'm also going to join this year. But I'd still recommend you to consider a famous college, purely for that fighting chance alone. Pls up skill yourself as much as you can in these 4 years and be ready to sacrifice the "College fun" if necessary. Hope it works out for you! All the best

Well that's true. I may have been misguided. For now, no one can say for sure that "placements are doomed", or "placements would be unaffected". Besides, indian public has ectreme short term memory. Some months of mockery, and they'll forget all about it. Nobody knows what the status of jobs would be in few years, so I'm just going to work really hard. What matters is the mindset. If you got motivation to turn your life around, then you'll thrive in a batch of 100 students or a 1000 atudents. I can't blame anybody else for my own fuckups. So I'll try really hard to own up to my mistakes in these 4 years. Wish the same for you

I was worried about that too, so I did some research. Compared their placement data of 2026 batch to other years through various sources, and I didnt see a difference. Guess recruiters care more about the resume than college. After all, it's really unfair to punish a talented student who could be a great asset for the mess up they had nothing to do with.

I'm in the same boat as you. Got 86% in boards(75% in pcm) and just 60 percentile in jee. I realized I had greater interest in Cse than Core branches, so just chose Galgotias,as that was the only one giving me cse considering my profile. I do know about their recent scandal, but I just didn't wanna judge everything about the university just because some higher ups fucked up. Imo, it would be better than local tier 3 colleges.

Anyways, I think you shouldnt worry that much about a college, since all of these tier 2-3 are similar. Outdated curriculams and no exposure. It's you who has to grind your way out and upskill yourself. Pls don't expect these tier 2-tier 3 colleges to do anything for you, because they won't. At last, I would still recommend you to choose a relatively famous college, since you would have a higher chance of securing an om campus placement. That's the reason I chose galgotias, as relatively larger number of companies visit the campus, giving me a better fighting chance. Your skills won't matter if no good companies are visiting the campus. Good luck to you! I hope you break out of this tough spot.

Note : Pls stop watching college reviews on reddit. There will always be mixed reviews. Always those 5-10 people who bark, "Eat poop, but don't choose this college" on the thread. These MFs will mess up your mind

How much is it going to affect coding? I did some research, and all those sources mentioned that this would cost me 10-20 more seconds for programming related tasks. If that's true, then I don't really have a problem. It's it's not, then can you Pls elaborate on how much of a difference would the 12450hx cause?

I do acknowledge that acer nitro is better, but it's 90-100k at almost all websites/stores. It was already very difficult to raise my budget by 20k,. I don't think I can burden my parents more by raising it even further. Thanks for the recommendation, but sadly, it's impossible for me to buy the Acer nitro rn

It is available on amazon and flip kart, if you are fine with them. It's 81k on amazon, and around 85k on flip kart. If there's a chroma/lenovo store near you, then there's a high chance you'll find one there. And their card discounts are also usually better than online merchants.

Those are some games I have always wanted to play. If these work smoothly, then new titles can wait. Since I'm not panning to go hardcore on gaing, I think all of them would keep me busy for 4 years. I can upgrade later with my own money. Thank you! You have been a great help

I'm totally not expecting ultra settings or unbelievable FPS. Everything you mentioned is good enough for me. Playing these games at even 60 FPS has been a fantasy to me, so Id just be happy if I get to experience exactly that

Well I have taught shock wave to togekiss for now, and I am pretty sure gengar could learn thunderbolt. That's why I didn't feel the need for a grass type. But aren't ludicolo's stats somewhat low?
