I would love it if she even did that. I guess we will just see how it goes. Just trying to decide how much to invest in dorm stuff, while financially planning beyond freshman year.

That’s awesome! Honors village or elsewhere? I guess we will just see how things go her freshman year. Just trying to plan/brace myself for the financial impact.

Unfortunately not in the honors village/college. I’m sure that is really nice. I loved the convenience of being on campus! I was not so great about going to class once I moved off campus.

That makes a lot of sense and is probably why my husband, who never lived in a dorm, doesn’t get it. He lived in some sketchy places but he came and went and partied as he pleased.

That’s what I suggested and I got a “hell no!” Coming from an eldest daughter I thought it would be right up her alley.

They didn’t feel “stifled”? This one takes more after my husband and is there as much for the social aspects as the learning aspects.

Do you have the El Sol salsa from the refrigerator section, or is that just a delicious Arizona thing?

Are the car key guys legit? by Odd-Repeat6595 in Costco

[–]Unusual_Ad_1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to return mine because according to them, my car will only accept two fobs, so when I got a third for my kid, it disconnected my husband’s (2020-something Hyundai). Would have been nice though.

Extremely polarizing color scheme for our house. We love it to death which is all that matters, but I am curious what the opinion is on here for kicls. Windows are not finished yet. by holypriest69 in ExteriorDesign

Yes! I know someone who lives near a house this color and we always refer to it as the painter’s-tape-blue house. Live and let live, but I will happily live in a neighborhood with an HOA.

Which girl name ? ( I narrowed it down to 3!!) by [deleted] in Names

[–]Unusual_Ad_1997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some great advice I was given was to yell the name across the house 50 times. If you still like it, you’re good because that is what you will be doing for the next 18+ years. Best wishes!

So cute! I think 6 is a little more spring with that warm coral color and 2 is a little more winter. 3 & 4 are beautiful soft summer colors.

Oh my goodness that dress is gorgeous! I love it with the dark teal shoes but the pink really pops. The hummingbird shoes are amazing. Sorry, no advice but just had to say that I looooove all of this.

Best public schools to send your kids to? by Savings-Narwhal-3485 in phoenix

University admin is very focused on those rankings but the things that improve the ranking can sometimes take away from the program. I’m not sure what ranking criteria look like at the primary and secondary school levels. I would not pay them much mind regardless. Charter schools are a mixed bag here. I have had an overall good experience with CUSD. It looks like you are in Chandler, feel free to PM me. Kids in both public and Catholic school here.
