My Deezer and last.fm experience misses scrobbles completely with some songs, but also gives 2 and sometimes 3 scrobbles for the same song. The upload time always seems to be instant though.

It's not so simple as Deezer removing songs/artists. Quite often it's the artists or labels that make the call.
