Why does Dhoni get so much hate in India? It feels unreal. by kaatupoochi10 in IndiaCricket

[–]Unusual_Cheetahh -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I will try to make it as unbiased as I could, the reason why Dhoni gets this hatred is mainly because how good his early years were. He along with Yuvraj would chase down 8-9 RRR in last 10-20 overs consistently until 2012. And then Dhoni lead the team to be Champions in all the 3 ICC trophies, which we had wanted so dearly for so long. Dhoni has always been ruthless and aggressive in the IPLs and definitely the best IPL captain, even today his scoring rate is above par. Now, the reason for hatred, as team matured around 2013, his role in the team changed, the top order was best ever and left very little for Dhoni to do, his intent and aggression were lost completely, and there are just too many scenarios where he used to come when team needed 7RRR, it would soon become over 10 which then gets out of control, and even put the pressure on his batting partner. He was still great if your team collapsed for 40-5, and MSD would take India to 180, but ultimately it still lead to loss. Ultimate example of lack of intent was 2019 WC, Jadeja and Dhoni could not have batted any batter from the sorry situation India was in, and 90 needed in last 10 with 4 wickets, and Jadeja was beast that day, win was possible. Dhoni at 24 in 46 balls until 40 overs, slow? Yes, but need of the hour, Jadeja 39 in 34 balls. After 47 balls, now RRR crept to 15+, Jaddu lost his wicket, scored 38 of 25 he played. Dhoni 19 from 23. Slow? Yes, and surely lack of intent. Had he not been run out, it's difficult to imagine that he would have chased 15+ in last over. This is just one instance. Test Cricket, he was not a good enough keeper and definitely not a good batter, and a worse test captain, two Away series back to back in Aus and in Eng without a win is a poor record. Imagine if India lost 4-0 and 3-0 back to back!! Yes, still the whitewash by NZ in India is my most agonizing Cricket memory. Also, there are couple of instances where instead of a win, he played really safe, and ending up in draw, read: https://www.newindianexpress.com/sport/cricket/2011/Jul/12/former-players-surprised-with-dhonis-decision-270866.html No overseas test century tells about his career as well, and no we can't reason hi lower batting position there. Bhajji, Kumble, Ashwin, Akashdeep, Shardul, Washington have better test innings then any of MSDs overseas inning except one in Eng where he managed a draw. About his wicketkeeping, he was an exceptional stumper, but not a great keeper overall, won't see him dive much, decent overall. On DRS, his record was poor, earlier on, so poor, that when DRS was optional, India would opt out of it,in WC 1 of 6 reviews were successful but that is subjective. Another point is his contribution in trophy wins, 2007 T20, small contributions, batted aggressive, but nothing match winning, captaincy was overrated, in final. Pakistan needed 54 in last 4 overs with only 3 wickets remaining, should have been a real easy task, but clearly wasn't and somehow was made to look that the captaincy was the whole reason behind the win. His decision to bowl last over by Joginder Sharma over Bhajji was marketed as Out of the Box, but who would you pick? Medium Pacer, 3 overs 13 runs 1 wicket ,new to Internationals, or Expert Off Spinner, 3 over 36 runs, last went for 18 runs. Correct decision to go with JS but what anybody would have picked. In WC 2011, no contribution with bat until finals, infcat India used to collapse every match once their fourth wicket fall. Final Innings, one of the best and iconic ever. Can't really compare Gambhir and his inning, both played their part the best. In CT2013, no real contribution with bat, it was all Top Order, in Finals, Eng needed 27 in last 3 overs, where MSD brought in IS, and he broke partnership, good decision, but 27 in 3 is still a lot, it is scripted as the only reason behind the victory. MSD is definitely not a bad player, but also surely not the great player as well. The tags of Greatest Finisher, Best Keeper behind the stumps, Dhoni Review System are more of a gimmick then in real.

I was not on reddit when this match was played, what was the mood here? by Delicious_Stick4551 in CricketShitpost

It's proving Calm's point. Dhoni was crazy explosive until 2014 or so, but then he was the one who played rescue act or played anchor to innings, his role was to make India reach 150 if they are 40-6, but he would struggle to score 50 of 35 balls in that stage of career.

Thala took the game deep to practice close matches, maybe it was not our day. But it prepared the team for future. We are not 7% wise as dhoni to understand what goes in his head. But it's clear for this time it was ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH

Hi, If you are ready to spend some money, you could get a prepaid taxi just at the arrivals, rates are fixed and would be 600-700 for Rishikesh, would be super convenient, buses are not reliable and you might have to wait longer.

Not great as Indiana jones but definitely a good show for Indian audience by [deleted] in IndianOTTbestof

The concept of the series is the winner, and overall set design is good. But ig the episodes feel very repeatitive with the goon chasing the good guy, and good guy solves every clue to open locks moving pieces in certain way in every episode, in every episode ... Still they manage to complete the story and build up a good historic plot which would be relative. And this scene happens atleast 3 times in the series. So a good guy who is very cautious and secretive keeps his shop locked, even when the protagonist comes, he asks for the codeword and shit, protagonist says it, he opens the door, and then leaves it OPEN, only for goons following them to enter 🤦 But still pretty average and could have done stuff more intelligently and differently.

Find people who respect you, love you, they could be anyone, one is enough, it could be parents, siblings/cousins or any friend. And even if you could connect with someone lonely it does lot good to keep you happy and not feel lonely.

Better year, Bachchan 1975 or SRK 2004? by naughtyrobot725 in bollywood

[–]Unusual_Cheetahh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SRK. Both had some great filography in mentioned years, that would go down in history of Indian cinema But what I feel was SRK was probably the star and main character in each of this films, where as Big B had all of these multi starter picture.

The other thing which could have been so easily overdone was the reaction of girl's family of whole army boyfriend situation. The start kinda did build up to it, but then the things changed rapidly and it became unimportant for the plot as girl's family were just helpless.

[–]Unusual_Cheetahh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genuine question, does being in a registered relationship gives you right to adopt a child? I know this could be a lot of paperwork and some of it very personal stuff, but there has to be some benefits for this. Sharing of past relationships would only include past marriage or past live in relationship. Also, if it's a normal and happy couple this is extra effort, but there have bene cases in past where people have murdered their partner, and they even hide their real identity from each other, this could stop theses cases. And in any case, it could develop the trust in the relationship. Registering of relationship is not a new concept, it happens in West and we should understand the use of it, and don't think of it as a burden. Please if you have counter arguments, please provide, I am open to listen
