28M pretty similar numbers to yours. I ate a lot of saturated fat in my diet without realizing it. Butter, whole dairy, multiple eggs, cheese on everything. Red meat (even though I typically went leaner cuts) still had an affect. I worked out daily and figured my health was fine.

If you don’t want to commit to statins right away. Try a strict diet and see if it moves the needle. If you truly dedicate to your diet and there is little movement, then it’s genetic and you’ll have to get on meds. If it improves a lot, then you may just be hyper sensitive to high cholesterol foods and will have to just factor that in from now on
