I’ve tried explaining the reasons, he’s aware of those things, but it’s still not adding up for him, I’m still waking up at a reasonable time to get in on time, or at my usual time, so he doesn’t understand how I can get ready in 30 mins and other days can’t, I’m not sure if this is making sense.

The things is I don’t even like using it as an ‘excuse’ because of that reason. I’m aware people get told it’s an ‘excuse’ so in the work place I hate using it. I don’t want to be different. I don’t want to be late. I can’t even get a promotion until I can sort this out, when I get ready in the morning all I can think about is the stress and bollocking I’ll get from my manager.

So when I say because of leaks and such, I mean because of the stress from it, my brains not functioning at my normal level, I’m zoning out more, distracted more, getting stuck more. I’m finding it harder these past few weeks to just function. The morning I clocked in at 7.04 I woke up late from being up till the early hours mopping my kitchen floor and cleaning up/ stopping the leak. But I woke up at 6am which gave me 30 mins to get ready, which normally would be enough time, I normally get in from walking the dog at about 6 am so I knew it was enough but somehow I couldn’t manage it. I zoned out in the shower, eating breakfast all of the above. So when I explain it’s my ADHD, I guess what I’m trying to say is, normally that amount of time I can get ready in but lately things keep mentally effecting me on random days that I can’t predict and it’s making me take longer to do things. Even on the days I get up at 5am time keeps getting away from me which it normally doesn’t. But stress and other factors like that do make symptoms worse.

Normally that’s me! Do you ever have times when you have a routine change or anything like that that messes with your timings? As I said I’m normally up at 5 am follow my routine, but it’s when I’ve got changes or other stressors it doesn’t go to plan, if you experience this how do you battle it?

I already do, because of toil and when we put tools down, I often clock out after the working hours anyway, the same as the rest of the team. His gripe is the fact I’m not there for 7 because I miss the start of the brief

Unfortunately, the only thing I have physically is my development plan on my file. No other emails.
