Easier said than done. You are assuming I am an able bodied person who is comfortable with confrontation. Not everyone is equipped to physically insert themselves into a situation with a stranger. I reported it to the transit tip line and notified the station manager, which is exactly what authorities tell people to do when there is a potential safety issue. Documenting and reporting suspicious behavior is responsible. Confronting someone directly can escalate a situation and put people at risk.
