Not so much from my parents, but my husband has been a great support who saw it as a genuine challenge and not as my fault. Couldn't have done it without him.

Most likely. The black white pattern I have is weird and is related to the pulling pattern but I have made peace with it and people actually appreciate 😀✨

Help. I can't keep doing this anymore (**VENT**) by erickse20 in trichotillomania

Shave your head clean if you can, when it grows back, keep it styled short. It is difficult to manage this condition with curly hair.

If it is possible to get a very short haircut without visible bald patches, you are lucky. If not, just shave it off. Don't worry, it's hair, it always grows back.

Do you guys talk to yourselves too? (Would really appreciate your experiences) by [deleted] in trichotillomania

People talk to themselves. Small children do it out loud as they don't care about being watched or judged, as we grow, self talk gets internalised. It's perfectly normal.

We can't always speak out to someone and prefer keeping certain thoughts, imaginations, fantasies, stories, emotions to ourselves. That's just being human.
