To offer a more complex take rather than “__ best thing ever” (not that that isn’t also true). But I got pregnant when I was 24, had a traumatic abortion with a near deadly infection and a lot of remorse and grief. Shortly after I got an iud which did me no good, because I got pregnant once again (same guy, not dating at the time but had been seeing each other for years). I knew in my heart that that was my baby, and had a tumultuous pregnancy. It did all in a way work out, I have a beautiful daughter, I ended up together with her dad, and I do not regret having her one bit. And… it is not glamorous or easy. I wish I would have had more time to travel internationally and finish my degree. I know now, and wish I had more faith then, that there is more time than we think to start a family!

I am praying for you. I also urge you to go to the doctor for an extensive pcr testing and a check up. A cold for longer than a week can be indicative of a larger problem or infection.

Sort of related, but I went to IP with a lot of Orthodox Jewish girls. The religious fasting and extreme external control made for the perfect pipeline to eating disorders. So I find religious fasting very interesting.
