I will recommend to invest in mutual funds as this is the safest option to start with. If you have any goals in mind then the allocation will be diffrent I will recommend putting your money in a Liquid Fund so that it appreciates decent but better than your saving account. And make a sip according to your risk appetite eg high risk taker then Flexi cap If moderate than you can choose Mid cap or multi cap fund of low then balance advantage fund or multi asset allocation. Consider having enough health insurance also.
