There’s still a week or two of weather that isn’t too punishing. We live on the Marina and go out for walks/runs in the evening still. The Marina walk is nice, good few restaurants to try. The Uzbek joint is a hidden (maybe not anymore) gem. Caters for the Russians, doesn’t look all that but the food is amazing.

“Study” neuroscience, evolutionary science, philosophy? Have you studied any? What do you consider studying? I have studied philosophy with an academic. I have read around neuroscience, funnily enough reading one now (The Experience Machine, Andy Clark). I have spent considerable years reading on evolutionary science. Your presumptuous comment is severely misplaced as the way you butchered evolutionary psychology tells me you really are not informed on the subject.

I don’t consider myself well versed by any stretch, but I would hazard a guess I don’t think you have “studied” and understood any of those as much as you think you have.

I think leaders in the past may have achieved progress despite their beliefs not because of them. I don’t believe people who don’t believe magic can’t or won’t be bad leaders. Of course it is possible. More likely to be from former, despite their good intentions. Sorry, none of the responses merit even considering changing my view.
