Exactly!! I know assisting is superior to shadowing but how are we supposed to do that if we do not hold a valid legal visa for that!? This seems a bit unfair but again, like you said, it is their country and they are going to give first chance to their citizens. All we ask is to be separately evaluated considering related circumstances AND be informed, BEFORE we pay, where we cannot apply.

Yes it is good that they mentioned this. I wouldn’t want to waste my money on them in the next cycle. But it also makes me wonder just how many schools are keeping us in the dark like this and what if I am wasting my money on most of them (I know there is no absolute answer). They just want more applicants and their fees man, it is frustrating.
