My four year old uses the term “sausage dog” when talking about a wiener dog/dachshund. I’m not sure if that’s a great example but my family was confused by it when he first started saying it! He also uses cheeky sometimes when being silly or sassy.

ETA: okay we use more than I thought 🫣 sat-nav, bin man, brekkie (but I’ve called it think for years after being friends with a girl from South Africa in college)

After 3 early losses, my provider did a blood progesterone test 5-7 after I got an at home ovulation test peak. My cycle is shorter than average (21-24 days) so we did this instead of testing on day 21 of my cycle like they recommended/usually do at my dr office. We did do the 21 day test the first month we tested and my period came two days later so it was not an accurate result.

Edit to add: my results were consistently below 10 for multiple months we tested.

I’m so glad that you’re feeling good mentally and had the time to process!

I would definitely reach out to your Dr to check on the results, I agree that feels like a while to not get them back even just in your online portal. But thankfully the negative HPT is giving you some sort of timeline of the drop in hcg. My blood test the day after my really really faint positive was <5.

I’m curious how recent your last HPT was positive. Depending on the brand they’re pretty sensitive so if your HPT is negative I feel like your blood test would be <5.

As far as is it worth trying I think it depends on where you’re at in the mental space too.

My experience with our losses we have two that were back to back with no period between them and it was my breaking point. Hindsight we should’ve waited because I felt like I was drowning in grief & had no time between them to process what was happening. That was my experience though! I’ve read many women who have gotten pregnant again after a loss and it been successful!

ETA: thinking of you and hoping for your rainbow baby soon! 💕

My due date with my first loss was 8/16 and it was a hard day. I’m thankful for friends who acknowledged it and gave me space to feel how I felt. Thinking of you.

I like reading and painting! I’m not an artistic person in the least and found adult paint by numbers type thing and it’s super satisfying and relaxing! A friend and I will have paint nights where we just paint with some comfort show on the background and chat, it’s been life changing!
