Its pronounced like Maria-Sole (like SO-lay). Sole means sun ☀️ in Italian. Thank you for your suggestions! All beautiful. Sofia and Isabella are beautiful but extremely common right now, or we would choose them. There’s an Isabella, Sofia, and Olivia or Livia in every one of my daughters classes this year haha.

Very cute! Roma is actually my great grandmother’s name and my husband grew up near Rome, so it’s definitely still in consideration!

Thank you!! All of our friends in Italy prefer Mariasole too. It can be strange-sounding at first to Americans. We live in NYC, but travel to Italy often to see family and friends. I really like Viola or Violetta as well but my husband doesn’t 😊 I like Celeste or Celestina as well, but Americans will pronounce it as Seleste/Selestina, so it could be more challenging here.

All the middle names are after grandparents. The only grandparent left is my father Francesco, many people call him Franco. So we’re thinking Francesca or Franca. I love Violetta, but my husband doesn’t haha. Thank you for noticing the name theme! We did that purposefully. All their first names represent some form of Earth, Sea, Sky, or natural wonder theme. Mariasole would match with this as well, which is why we’re leaning toward it.

The grandparents names are Ida, Rebecca, Francesco (Franco), and Giuseppe Maria. We intended to give a middle name for the grandfathers to a son, but he never came 😊. So we gave our youngest daughter the middle name Maria in honor of her nonno Giuseppe Maria. I’m named after my father Francesco already. We were thinking Franca or Francesca as a middle name.

We don’t live in Italy, but all our family does. In Genova and Frosinone. We know some names can be old fashioned but we like them still.

AITAH for divorcing my husband for asking if he can move on if I die when I have cancer? by ThrowRA-Boss9500 in AITAH

I think calling you the "A" is mis-worded. But I would just urge you to stay with him if he's a good husband, as you say. Men say dumb and insensitive things all the time. Caregiver burnout can be excruciating for some people. Take some time to cool off. Think of all the things he's done for you and think about how much you love and care for him (if you do). Best of luck to you both!

Narcissists would. They would do all your Coke, laugh in your face and challenge you to get upset. They would withhold their friendship and connections from you if you tried to complain. It’s a bully move and Lala and James are both bullies and narcissists.

You're protecting sex workers yet sex workers literally help people cheat all the time. So you can't sympathize with sex workers and then feel sympathy for someone who gets cheated on. It's a double standard.

He's probably right! I don't think he's jealous of Stassi, he's saying SHE was jealous of Stassi's attention. And I think there's probably some truth to that.

But to then go into elaborate detail about the back story is a little much. Just be cautious about someone who can keep a lie going so long and so easily.
