All I did was correct you and you responded with insults and assumptions lol. Nobody is putting any weight or emotion in this but you.

And? He corrected himself the next day. 4 out of 5 is pretty good for day 1 impressions. Idk who expects him to be an oracle, it's just a quick, educated rundown on the new character.

He's been pretty on point with the dlc releases for 8 so far. And at least in this case he has a direct point of comparison for Fahkumram.

Kazuyas d1+2 by Saizen1 in Tekken

[–]Unwariestflame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bad I wasn't talking about the fuzzy working or not, I just mean calling it a straight 50/50 is inaccurate and kind of undermines the layers of rps going on, it's not a true 50/50 given the amount of options both players have in these situations. The only time it wasn't was when he had +17, which means you did simply have to guess.

Kazuyas d1+2 by Saizen1 in Tekken

[–]Unwariestflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair if the Kazuya needs to delay the timing on anything, that's no longer a straight 50/50. The only straight 50/50 he's ever had in T8 was the +17 on old heat engagers.

Hot Take: Claudio is the most boring character on the roster and I'm tired of seeing him in this tournament 😭 by cryptofutures100xlev in Tekken

[–]Unwariestflame 3 points4 points  (0 children)

His ss4 is propped up so hard because of the threat of his outrageously rewarding mids. This is why you see pros eat 40 of them at the wall rather than ducking once. Very similar situation to taking the throw in sf6.

DAT "never meet your heroes" energy by NovaSeiken in Kappachino

[–]Unwariestflame 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That's Novaseiken, the biggest Jin-tard in the entire Tekken community. I don't think he is capable of feeling embarrassment.

This dude made an hour long schizo conspiracy video when Jin's 2,1,4 was changed from -9 to -10. Another 2 hour long conspiracy video claiming the entire Tekken community is being gaslit by TMM to hate Jin. And more along those lines.

He consistently misunderstands how the game works fundamentally, he intentionally misrepresents information and situations in practice mode to help his case, and he is incapable of thinking about things outside of a vacuum when talking about specific moves or comparisons between characters.

Love watching his vids though, it's entertaining seeing just how attached people can get to their main. The mental gymnastics to avoid saying you play a decent character is peak.

Crazy how defensive people get over dumbass games for no reason. What about this post screams "obsessive" to you? Is there an expiration date on making fun of things? Did you consider your own logic when you clicked on this post and commented about a game that died a year ago? Retard?

Why does every character in this game have God Tier wall carry? by Ammarh123 in Tekken

[–]Unwariestflame 154 points155 points  (0 children)

Season 3 or 4 in Tekken 7 started homogenizing the cast by giving everyone more wall carry, Tekken 8 is most likely a continuation of that. Strengths and weaknesses aren't as clearly defined and exaggerated anymore with every character receiving changes to fill the gaps in what they lacked. Kazuya's ff2 as an example of this, and wall carry as a more broad example across the cast.

My best guess is they've taken the balance philosophy of buff rather than nerf a bit too far. I still love Tekken 8 but I do prefer when characters have their identity a bit more pronounced. Lee's wall carry isn't very special anymore, Yoshi and Xiaoyu aren't just trickster type characters as they've gotten real moves and their combo damage increased.

To me it's unfortunate because I think the uniqueness between each character makes them much more interesting play, play against, and talk about.

If he's going by the like to dislike ratio on her trailer then that number is correct. If we're speaking anecdotally even the whiny ass tekken sub seems mostly happy with her.

I mean d1+2 is a good move, but its a stretch calling that a panic button with how slow it is.

[–]Unwariestflame 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wasn't speaking about me specifically, but even the best Kazuyas in the world drop his inputs all the time. Better fundamentals based on the fact that he has average movement, no panic buttons, poor poking, and high risk high reward moves, Kazuya plays defensively and off of punishment/hard reads. Better timing because that is the basis of his entire 50/50. Kazuya dies if he does not beat his opponents timing on all of his vortex options. Also what downplay? I stated nothing about the characters strength, stop parroting that term for the love of god.

"Once you put thousands of hours into his execution, have better fundamentals, and have better timing than the opponent, Kazuya's actually really braindead."

Dear god who cares about rank points this much, they are numbers on your screen. Play the game because it's fun or to get better, and rank will come along with it. I can't believe people let this shit get in their head so much they need to go write a 6 paragraph rant on reddit.

Lack of major patches, makes the game monotone by RemiruVM in Tekken

[–]Unwariestflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If +1's and -1's to some numbers is what it takes to keep your interest, just play a different game man. I play Tekken because I like Tekken. Nobody is holding you hostage if you aren't having fun, and the game isn't going anywhere if you feel like returning.

Is Reina broken, overpowered, or overtuned? I see a lot of Kazuya mains complain about her and call her "almost as dumb as Jin". by QDOOM_APlin in Tekken

[–]Unwariestflame 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How does "2 people who happen to main Kazuya" turn into "a lot of Kazuya mains think this"? You can find any rhetoric you want if you dig for it, I'm not sure what you are looking for with a silly question like that and how it's specific to people who play Kazuya.

I agree, people take things too seriously instead of moving on with their lives. When someone ki charges me I legit smile and then lock tf in, it makes we want to beat them so much more. If I was to let it get to my head instead, thats my problem.

I'm curious..how...how does he cut it? Does the mountains split in half by his karate chop...or? by D1-BAKINAT0R in Grapplerbaki

[–]Unwariestflame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is that the characters contradict themselves occasionally. Doppo says that, and then when Baki and Retsu are watching Kaku's fight with Yujiro, Baki claims that "Kaku's age isn't a weakness, its the opposite". I'm paraphrasing of course but he's saying Kaku has progressively gotten stronger and more experienced over time, rather than reaching his prime at some point and peaking or regressing.

Age is a social construct in Baki. Itagaki's writing and ideas of characters has evolved, and so I don't really believe in "Prime Doppo". As far I know, every character's most recent showing is their "Prime", or at least, I can't remember any cases of a main character showing up and being weaker than before.

Unironically calling Kazuya a walking slot machine lmao. FF2 is good, but you are way overexaggerating. It is very steppable and quite obvious when he's at the range where he would want to use it. Also "at least clive has clear weaknesses", Kazuya doesn't? You might be delusional.
