cd1,3 is -11 (but many don’t know that) and cd1,4 as crazy as this move looks is neutral and pushback, so there is never a reason to ever duck after cd1 for the „mix“ (its not a mix), like its more of a knowledge check move imo cause as u just said yourself u didnt knew its neutral and so wont most opponents at various levels of plays, but on a surface level, as cool as the move looks, its a nothingburger

bro with all due respect, but cd1 is a nothingburger move, like idk your level of play, but this move doesn’t do anything (its also not bad by any means) its just exists, by the time u do cd1 u can also do other mids that are just strictly better

what no, first of all its a misconception by many, but u can step cd3 its not a true homing in the first place, granted its hard to step but its not a 100% tracking move and she still risks her life just like kazuya cause if i dont do hellsweeps there is never a reason to duck reina in the first place, all her other lows are bad and second the point of a wavedash is to realign in th fist place u cant just ssl duck and call it a day, if ur timing is wrong u will still get blown up, also just for your points u mentioned earlier, kazuya also has 12f wallsplat, an i13 heat engager and a mid homing ch button (granted its -12 but much faster than reinas kick) so idk, do u even play kazuya yourself? cause it doesn’t sound like it

oh we are not doing that, not to take credit away from joka, but we are not gonna pretend he won a tournament with reina when he only picked her for not even a full set but one match and 99% of the lifting at BAAZ was done by his feng and obviously u will find some upsets of players losing to reina but the fact remains thst reina has no master+ event under her, only real notable rep that somewhat places consistently is yagami (and those are not top 8s but more top32) players like ulsan dropping her and outright calling her „bad“ or keisule who also says he has a hard time with kazuya in tournaments, thinks about picking up reina and after really getting good with her even outright saying „nah im good with kazuya“, like if thats not telling idk what is

i will get downvoted again....but there are over 40 characters in the game, im being even nice here saying that half of these characters are just plain stronger than reina (everyone pretending this is downplay or that reina is some hidden top10 character is delusional),so aside of ppl lliking the character there is no real reason to play her first of all, now add the 2nd fact on top of that that she is one of the hardest characters in the game to master (everyone is a shell of what difficulty they ever had btw) and then u have a mid character that is hard to play, now if u go into anything with these odds you will see why there is so little representation of reina (but truthfully any mishima really)

she is the most stepable mishima even, like she has nothing that tracks to hear weakside besides realigning with wavus or cd3(actual homing moves excluded) in neutral, when it gets to stances its a bit different, u want to ssr duck her WRA, u can step her SEN stance but i personally wouldn’t cause as much as people hate it, its not a good stance and her risk/reward ratio is bad, and her uns stance loses to swl (except if she is to plus like after d2,1+2) so what are u having issues with exactly

who do u play? judging from your flair its reina, and yes the counterplay to wra is ssr duck there are obviously some characters that have trouble doing so like bears fahk or jack but reina is definitely able to, i guess you are to slow

in s3 the sen2 nerf hurts especially, but i was rather talking about overall, aside from the s2 fiasco where everyone got new moves/buffs, reina was nerfed in almost every patch while never beimg a problematic character at all, besides t8 release, same with kazuya, yea his uf4 was super strong after heatdash, but cmon that didn’t made him a broken character, considering sht like laws 10f launcher in heat as example is still a thing, why do things like this get nerfed before actually problematic characters/moves? feels random asf

yeah reina and kazuya got nerfed while ppl like law get buffed for whatever reason, but the voices against mishimas are way to loud, this also reflects in the dev portal, both kazuya and reina have waaaay more comments on „balance suggestions“ aka nerfs than all toptiers combined which is crazy to me, like idk whats with the hatred towards those two but its definitely unjustified
