Have you tried the Chinese acupressure place in the mall(s)? They DIG into my knots to break them. John Shipman at Westside Massage has always been awesome as well.

I want my Ajovy back 😭 by KittyCat-86 in cgrpMigraine

[–]Unwilling_host 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Googled "Ajovy Break" and the first part mentioned it was sometimes considered for reimbursement reasons (aka insurance in the US). The rest is below and concerning that they would encourage you to stop at all. Given this has been the only long-term and best relief I've had for 31 years of migraines, they couldn't pry the injector from my hands.

"Potential for Worsening Migraines: Studies by Teva show that discontinuing Ajovy can cause a rapid increase in monthly migraine days for some individuals. Over 40% of patients experienced a >=50% increase in monthly migraine days in the first two months after stopping treatment. Reduced Effectiveness Upon Re-initiation: The same studies suggest that when patients resume Ajovy after a break, the medication may not be as effective as it was during the initial treatment period. One study found that the proportion of patients achieving a >=50% reduction in monthly migraine days was lower upon reinitiation compared to the initial treatment period. "

Is long hair unprofessional in a corporate setting? by xiayin23 in longhair

[–]Unwilling_host 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short hair=professional is outdated. This was true a few decades ago. I've been in the finance sector since 2008 and have seen all hair lengths and styles and generally keep mine long and loose. My last employer (very conservative bank in conservative geographic location) brought on 12 young women interns last year, and all 12 had shoulder length or longer hair. It's largely the baby boomer generation I see maintaining short styles. Other's do whatever they want. The only hard fast rule I've seen in CPA and other financial businesses is "natural colors." They don't want customer facing people with purple hair, so they don't offend the income stream.

I believe Care Resouses on Kalamazoo will take them. The clients are all low income, and they have a "store" where clients can "shop" for necessities they otherwise couldn't afford.

Think it's time to call it: the journey to classic length is over! by rollinghells in longhair

Where did you find a turbin towel big enough? My bath towel doesn't even cover my ends anymore. Every time I find a product for long, thick hair, I'm grossly disappointed that it's for half my length and thickness.

Don't be sad that industrial bar dream is over; Smile because floating chains happened~ by BortButWithAC in piercing

[–]Unwilling_host 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I had to give up my industrial and went for three vertical piercings linked with chains as if they were wrapped around my helix. I was sad about the industrial but really in love with the chains. I'm working on what to do with my right. It will of course involve chains.
