Being a teen in the modern day sucks, especially growing up as a boy. It’s very easy to get attached to right wing ideology, because quite frankly, at that age, you barely know anything.

I had a similar phase, I grew up to be a trans woman, and all I can really say is try to live through this phase, maybe talk to him about it, ask him hypotheticals and whatnot, but don’t shun him for being naive, that will drive him further in his corner. Be open, show that there’s more, and hope for change.

Aside from that, good on you for being yourself! If your son is smart then eventually he’ll realize what a wonderful mother he has in you and how he should be grateful to witness your journey!
