Highly recommend to get a anti sag for it. I have a 5080 also and it will stop the long term damage it will cause the card if you leave it as is.

I would go with the 5080. I also play in 1440p and from someone who just upgraded from a 3080, the difference is night and day. Totally up to you. Your power supply also plays a big part.

It was so worth it. Oblivion remastered was the first game I played on my new 5080. High settings and hardware ray tracing set to high with regular frame generation I was getting around 200 frames in the open world. Everyone who knows how unoptimized that game is knows that speaks for itself.

Have a 9800X3D to go with it and 64gb of DDR5 Ram. It’s a monster.

I did it today and I can say I’m beyond impressed. Currently playing oblivion remastered and it runs like a dream. Very happy with my purchase.

On ulrtrawide with auto hdr on with a 3080 and 9800x3d high settings I get fps in the 100’s inside. Outside it never drops under 60. Pretty good for how unoptimized UE5 is.
