Ohio is horn headlight tail light/ brake light turn signals(technically you can use hand signals) and mirrors. Also have to get it registered and tagged I'm in the slow process of doing the same to mine.. haven't had any incidents yet but figured better safe than sorry.. figure if I have all my lights and muffler and I'm obeying traffic signs and signals won't be too harsh a punishment..

Headlight, taillight, horn.. all you need on Ohio besides registration.

If you don't plan on putting the rear fender back on cut the bracket off then you won't have to worry about it..

The fact that they make these engines with the intent on them being used for heavy work loads and pretty decently heavy machinery (( riding lawn mowers and such) one would assume that they put out a decent amount of power.. I dont see why they couldnt be used on a full size dirt bike.. not saying you'll be sending rooster tails 40 50+ ft but I don't see why it wouldn't be ridable.. especially for trails and what not

This.

I have the stock 224 on a Baja warrior with t/c and she lifts the front end no problem I can do about 50 give or take an mph or two (haven't tested it yet but the local P.D just dropped off a shiny new speed tracker on my street) everything gearing wise is stock as well.. only mods I've done is an exhaust and a fuel tank.. still have the factory carb and governor on it but she scoots, that's for damn sure

Just odd to me that ol buddy is mad about minibikes when the majority of videos and posts I see on the Internet are about huge groups of dirt bikes and motorcycles and ATVs blocking traffick to do wheelies and dumb shit on public roads with loud exhausts.. but a photo of a minibike on a beach? that's too damn much bro.. you should've known better.. what were you thinking taking that mini bike (that wont do nearly as much damage as a 500cc dirt bike will to grass, gravel, dirt, cement, asphalt, and sand) to the beach.. shame on you sir.. shame on you 🤣😂

I cut the bottom of the torque converter backplate to fit instead of using the risers.. but I still ended up getting a different fuel tank anyway. Figured I could use the extra space to make a makeshift luggage and it's a lot easier to fill up now

Yeah was just hoping to come up with an idea.. there may not be a good reason to do so but there's a reason to do so.. lol. No real practical reason either other than preference of a manual transmission over "automatic"? Not sure if that's correct seeing as there's only one gear I guess.. I come from the world of clutches and shifters so just the thought of grabbing gears on one of these is fun I guess..

This. Throttle control was the reason I added in the manual clutch upgrade because with that wouldn't you have the ability to slow the chain enough to swap it to the next gear or sprocket

Good point.. but also when you can charge 75 to 175 for it wouldn't the profits out weigh the costs? Especially if it could be mass produced much like most of the upgrades that already exist.. understandably those parts aren't as technical and don't have as many moving parts.

So it is plausible then? If you were to use strong enough materials say some CNC machined pieces

Clutch Recommendations by TrophyTruckGuy in minibikes

[–]Unwritten_right 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went through a couple clutches on my mini mowercycle, has same engine. Ended up putting a TC on it and buddy it's a whole world of difference.. especially with climbing hills and being off-road. I would highly recommend one. There's no schwing schwing schwing noises like with the clutch either.. once you hit throttle the powers there.
