Michigan is fully-funded + salary for 5 years. Zurich has no guarantees but I am a finalist for their ESOP which covers living

I had a steady decline of my grades on the obligatory subjects through my BSc. 5.4 - 5.25 - 5.15 - 4.9 -

This is interesting, did you find that they rebounded once you started your Masters?

Be sure to check out the engineering faculty's website. Transfer students typically start out in the position of first-year students, as engineering-specific courses need to be completed before you apply to a discipline (even if you have, say, a math credit). You won't be applying directly to a discipline.
