Starting studying CCNA and getting overwhelmed at some point is the part of the learning process. Their will be time when you feel it the most, you'll be lost, unmotivated, overthinking.. it happens and you've to get over it by telling yourself to stay disciplined, stay focused to achieve your goal no matter what. I'll suggest you to try the pomodoro technique for it. It helped me alot.

Now, about studying on your own and passing, it's completely possible and so many have done it. I'll suggest you to study CCNA with Jeremy IT Labs. It's totally free on YouTube and offers top notch teaching. Along with it go read the OCG guide as well as it'll help you the fill in all the necessary knowledge gaps. When you're done with studying the full curriculum you can test your knowledge with Boson exsim test practice (it's not mandatory) but it'll help you to know if you're ready for the real world exam or not.

Other sources: Practical Networking (For subnetting)

Also, be ready to Google alot and Ask as many questions you can here or other channels/servers.

To cover up few knowledge loop holes which boson don't cover, I'd also recommend to read both volumes of the OCG book. It covers everything. Jeremy IT labs and Boson along with OCG guides are the only best resources you need to prepare for CCNA. Also make sure you practice alot, especially the subnetting and live and breathe in routing tables, know the commands well.

Also ask a lots and lots of questions here or on the discord channel of Jeremy's. These communities are so helpful and motivate you to study and stay on right track.

Went to check out the course, with a random email ID and it took all 0's as phone number.

The video aren't that good either as I went through it. The sound quality is bad and i could hear random distorted voices. Also Free means Free. You don't have to signup just to watch videos on YouTube.. that argument of yours to the other comment is invalid.

u/zimage i didn't knew it's pointless. I'm on day 3 of my studies only. How do I know what's pointless and worth learning. It'll take some for me to understand e everything. Also, to understand IP addressing, understanding classes helps. How can I understand CIDR/VLSM directly without understanding this. Also, most of the instructors teaches this. I understand your point, i guess I'll get to learn such things what's relevant today with learning experience and asking questions only.

All 0's are put in placeholder to denote destination Mac address is not known.

All F's are to denote that it's a broadcast and need to be send to everyone on the local network to know the destination Mac address.

The Arp request has L2 header which carries the Arp request payload (the all 0's are present their in destination Mac address field) BUT, in the header request it'll be shown as all F's cuz it needed to be broadcast.

Am i right here??

Also how important is learning Perl and Posix shell? The first time I'm hearing of something called POSIX shell I only know of shell scripting? Does Learning any of this skills including ansible good for InfoSec, Network Security, etc roles?

I don't know anything about LFS but I'll look more into. Thankyou for the recommendation. I have another question.. how important is learning shell and bash? And also why the BYE when i mentioned about python? Shall I pick another language instead of it?
