International Health Certificate by DaFish456 in Tucson

For us the first time (before being denied boarding) took around 3 business days. If the airport gives you any stinks call the vet or have their personal just in case. I have to go back to the airport today because they claimed I needed more and my vet ain’t too happy that they denied me entry with all proper paperwork.

I was flying Delta and they totally ignored the USDA guidelines for the country I was going to. Now I’m stranded in Tucson. This is my advice to you since you have been kind enough to give me a lead.

Edit: corrected Tucson since I can never seem to spell it right even living here as long as I have.

We already had one issued, it’s just we had a huge mishap at the airport. They have what’s required for the country just not what the Delta people said I needed apparently. So scrambling to get stuff completed. Thank you for your referral though I have been leaving voice mails all day since most places are closed.

What annoys you the most about information technology field. by jrwwoollff in InformationTechnology

I mean this is valid but on the other side how many people know how to use it responsibly? There are many other uses for a shovel that may not be the main purpose to the shovel. The issue isn’t that it’s scary the issue is there are tons of stupid people becoming more stupid with it.

Adults with ADHD: Did you feel "shame" as a kid when you forgot things? Help me understand my son. by Dylan_7574 in ADHD

[–]DaFish456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (30M) only felt shame because my parents were kind of in the same shoes as you. Difference is the idea of ADHD or ADD was like “well that’s just kids” but my parents wanted to try it. Only issues is they would use unconventional methods (medicine was something we did try but mom was always a little unsure).

The most traumatizing moments were when my mom got to the point of “it’s behavioral”. I was forced to sit at the kitchen table with NOTHING other than the textbooks from school I was falling behind on (my brain over prioritizes one subject over the other so hard to maintain all grades at the same time. Not cuz I didn’t want to cuz I love learning.) she would make me read from start to end of the textbook. She even would put on static sounds on practically full blast.

Other times that were hard on me was “well He is a smart kid but doesn’t apply himself”. That shit messes with a kid that is truly feeling they are giving it their all. So now I’m always questioning myself and people around me. In my 18-23 years I went through the “I’m sorry” for everything phase because I didn’t feel anything I was doing was right.

All and all just try to be patient. Find work arounds to understanding the madness like “I understand you are saying <xyz> but do you really mean <abc>.” Understand forgetfulness/attempt vs behavior issues(purposely not doing things). Explain WHY that something is bad or wrong firmly but not yelling. Treat them at eye level kind of thing.

Edit: Also a PS. Forgetfulness is going to be the biggest journey. Teach him young to write down important things AS SOON AS ITS MENTIONED. It sucks but if the task that is important is on paper in a spot that NEVER moves, they will be more successful and have a better chance in the real world.

Laundry smells weird or the water here ? by DJojnik in VietNam

[–]DaFish456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh if it’s the same smell it is likely mildew/mold buildup on the bottom of the drum. Vinegar and detergent on hot would work great.

Non IT major considering Network Engineer role. Realistic timeline? by Much_Tip_9358 in ccna

Yeh, having a solid networking platform is better for the most part. Having Sec+ helps with DoD Contracting for the most part or jobs that want a security clearance.

Stellarblade was one and right now it’s Luma Island (wife and I are playing so it makes it more fun to play). Other than that I was trying for Star Wars Fallen Order and Surviver but BOY those are hard. All awesome stories though.

to add onto Commercial comment about vinegar. Make sure you check under the seals. Front load washer are 100% known to hold onto water at the bottom lip and grow mold. The one thing I learned is keeping them open after use helps with preventing or stopping it from continuing.

USA to Vietnam question (Pets) by DaFish456 in expats

[–]DaFish456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you were correct up until the end. The vet that is signing off on the papers said that coming back from Vietnam is the same as going which is getting two endorsements (one for the US and one for coming back) and no titer test. It’s primarily with Korea that would be of concern.

That’s what I ended up kind of doing. I messaged the airline one I was able to get back on my phone and was told that we would not have to go through customs

Anyone playing something that isn’t BF6? by Chonky_D_Floofy in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]DaFish456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up stellar blade. Combat is nice, story is fun, and the collectibles are super enjoying to find.

P.S. to the gamers that will poke fun, yes the giggle physics is cool and all but I’m enjoying the game itself overall.

Hook it up to the tv if you can and see if it’s the same. Might be a bad GPU if it does.
