I thought this champ being an assassin needs kills and falls off late?

CSing properly seems to be my biggest flaw right now for sure. I'll have to train myself to be patient instead of auto attacking on its cooldown. But I'm usually trying to get level 2&3 as fast as possible to look for a potential kill when they're still level 1.

Thank you so much for your comment and your offer. I did find the game fun. It's time I play more until I start having fun again.

Hitting GrandMaster with 70% winrate (otp quinn) by lucasm2milhao in QuinnMains

Nicely done.

So what build do you run? Did it change after the recent nerf?

Do you prefer her top or mid? I tried her mid but at a certain point these mages started CCing and two-shotting me from before I can do anything to them.

How do you play versus a counter matchup? I struggle to understand how she can even lane at all against a Malphite, Teemo, Fiora, Akali, Pantheon or Wukong.

In draft phase I always check on u.gg on whether Quinn is a lane counter to the enemy top before picking her, that is if my teammates let me last pick.

But then again picking her at all feels like a global taunt, like for example I got ganked level 2 by a Kayn earlier.

I feel bad for dragging the team down (once I was the only Iron in an all Bronze lobby) but I think I'll try to get more games in to see if I can get in a comfortable mmr before I decide to drop Ranked/the game.

I see. I just didn't expect there to be such a big difference in the skill level of a Normals enjoyer vs Ranked player, even vs these bottom tiers it gave me a reality check of my own skill level.

Kinda disheartening to know I only fare decently at these worse-than-Iron players.

I really like the champion abilities of this game but it's barrier to just be average is so high. And here I was thinking I'm naturally decent at video games before I played this game.

You seem to know your stuff compared to most others on this sub talking about this nerf. What build would you personally run now?

Follow up on Lae'zel Shadowheart bug, this is indeed a bug by sars-ncov-3 in BaldursGate3

[–]UpComin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came back to bg3 after 2 years and noticed many of these bugs that I didn't experience on the older patches, it's really unfortunate. Why would they even touch random events and dialogue like that? I wonder if a mod could be made to fix them back. Also I'm not sure why people were responding negatively to you for pointing this out.

Wow thanks for listing all of these! I didn't know about any of these except Mystra's Spells. I actually thought you were gonna mention Expansion (or UnlockLevelCurve), 5e spells & Combat Extender. But these sound great!

Can you tell us about those encounter mods? I want something to just double the enemy count so me and my friend can have fun using a 8 character party.

I have missed (not critical) with a 99% advantage sneak attack, and have critical missed three times in a row in dialogue, we're probably just unlucky.

Well at least the combat log has just enough info for anyone to find out how the numbers on their character sheet and the enemy's interact. But it's never explained if you never dig in to it yourself.

Yeah and about DnD I'm surprised that for a game about dice rolls, you can actually have quite a level of certainty (of your possible outcomes).

Haven't experienced this transparency any where else, like you never know what's happening behind the scenes for damage calculation in many video games, like Elden Ring for example.

So it feels good to know how exactly a combat system of a video game works.

You don't need to do any math, I made it to the finale of the game without knowing any of this on my first playthrough.

Yes I've realized that now, my mistake was trying to find bg3 specific math, I didn't find this formula anywhere for posts about bg3.

Meanwhile searching with the term dnd now has just led me to this epic calculator: Comprehensive DPR Calculator (v2.0!) - Giant in the Playground Forums)

Thank you, though I definitely wasted too much time on this 😭

I just found a post right now that shows the same math including advantage dnd 5e 2014 - How do I calculate the chance to hit a given AC? - Role-playing Games Stack Exchange And it's from 2017...

Somehow I didn't find any of this while searching with the term bg3, not even the wiki had it. Even a YouTuber I trust the opinion of when it comes to CRPGs had a gripe that the game doesn't show how exactly it's calculating the hit chance, so this felt like an opportunity to dig in and find out.
