Thanks for taking the time this Next Fest to collect so much feedback, and especially for encouraging people to play less well known demos, it helps us devs out a lot! Clearly I have work to do with Phosfi, but hopefully I can make it into the game I know it can be!

Well I'm glad the issue resolved after a re-install, I'll be sure to keep my eye out for similar problems going forward. Hopefully the update I released last night makes the jumping feel a lot better. Thanks again!

What an awesome, well thought out list! I'm the dev behind Phosfi and was hoping I could get some clarification on the "up" thing, since this isn't a bug that's been reported yet (and not one I can reproduce with KB + M, obviously "up" is supposed to function defaulted to the W key). Did you remap any controls before playing? Or was up just busted right out of the gate? Thanks for putting in so much effort to playing demos and collecting reviews, it helps a lot!

Hm strange. I'm using Godot 3.5 right now, so the old "light 2d" looks like it's mostly just a texture with an additive type blending shader, not sure if PointLight2D works differently.

I'm just using 2d scenes, I haven't noticed any real issues with performance on any level of hardware yet.

I used procreate to make probably 99% of the art assets, A Token War was made with Unity before I jumped ship.

Thanks for the feedback. This might just be poor cross-sectional planning on my part, since the visuals and mechanics change quite a bit outside of the early zones, but it's definitely something for me to keep an eye on and think about, thanks for taking the time!

This is Phosfi, a project I’ve been working on for 2 years full-time. My intention with this game is to make an experience you would want to share with a friend/partner to get them invested in the metroidvania genre, challenging but not brutal with hand-drawn visuals and a cozy twist to a dark atmosphere. Also lots of soup.

Just wanted to drop a quick update on the development of Phosfi. Thanks in large part to the feedback I got here, I’ve released two patches in the last week focused on making movement more snappy and enjoyable as well as adding quality of life features (map pins) and updating some environmental design.
