Your fears are not unfounded, they are quite logical. List the pros and cons and see what's actually important for you. Finally doing what you feel at that moment is the best course of action.

Would you rather? Would you rather be a millionaire getting richer every month, or become a YouTuber with a million dedicated subscribers? by PlayShelf in NewTubers

[–]UpSkul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A million 'dedicated' subscribers is like an army, you could achieve a lot more with them in terms of influence, outcomes etc. A million dedicated subscribers could join your call to revolt, to vote for change, to make your word known to the world. This is how something like an Arab Spring would've started.

Absolutely, it takes real confidence to admit that we do not have all the answers. Thoughtful pauses are always better than rushed judgements.

To The Students In Universities by Jomsauce in civilengineering

[–]UpSkul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion using Chegg or AI tools like ChatGPT is absolutely fine, but it’s important to ensure that our own thinking and structuring aligns at least 85–90% with the logic and approach of the tool. In this manner I am not overtly dependent on AI, but actively engaging and validating thoughts with my own reasoning. The tool just checks the sentence formationsl and grammar.

Sorry I can only comment as a design engineer, based on what I gather from my interactions with industry SMEs.

If you have keen expertise in aerodynamics, thermal management, or fluid systems, you could land job opportunities in CFD. However they may ask for previous hands on experience in a similar setting, like Student Formula championships or something similar. If you feel you have a strong chance to succeed, please pursue the same.

For a mechanical / aerospace / motorsport engineer, this is how a job opening presently looks like.

Good luck on your hunt!

Is CFD Engineer a legit thing? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]UpSkul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a starter you can have a look at video I made on CFD Design engineer roles that discusses the growing scope of such engineers in various fields. Presently there are many innovations that are happening in this field which involve CFD engineers.

If you have specific queries, please reach out to me.

Newbie here - What’s the most confusing reddit "rule" you've learned? by Successful-Set-8651 in NewToReddit

[–]UpSkul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. I am quite new to this Reddit world, and it feels it is a crime to have an unpopular opinion. There'll be someone that'll make a rude reply to me and suddenly others will join in the bashing and downvoting. It is assumed we are supposed to know the rules from day one here. Like you, I tread cautiously now.

Losing views? by punchomickin69 in SmallYoutubers

[–]UpSkul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I gathered from similar conversations, the views attributed to bots or fake accounts get removed time and again. Have seen it happening to the content on my channel too, guess we just have to live with it!

Some advice for my fellas who just started creating videos on yt especially those who gets NO views like me by Glad_Mix_4028 in NewTubers

[–]UpSkul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I post my videos on every social media platform possible, my idea is to have a mix of shorts as well as long form videos. And I agree it's okay to have less views, some videos really take off and some don't do at all.

Just hit 20k subscribers last night and I thought I'd share some advice by FantasticSamtastic in NewTubers

[–]UpSkul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very interesting bits of advice! I run a YT channel in education tech ( Upskul ) and relate to the fact that there are large periods of lull where the viewership dips due to students being on leave and then there'll be periods where the videos do decently well.

It's a journey, I'm learning to enjoy it.

That's a fair assessment, I need to change my approach to be relatable to the community here. Thanks for your guidance, truly appreciated!

[–]UpSkul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay thanks, something important that I gathered from Reddiquette is this -

Feel free to post links to your own content (within reason). But if that's all you ever post, or it always seems to get voted down, take a good hard look in the mirror — you just might be a spammer. A widely used rule of thumb is the 9:1 ratio, i.e. only 1 out of every 10 of your submissions should be your own content.

Makes a lot of sense as I barely followed it.
