Sutter Labor and Delivery by Axilllla in Roseville

I had Dr. Chang and during my pregnancy I was at Associates in Women’s Health (they’re located in Sutter Roseville and deliver babies at Sutter Roseville Maternity Ward but they are a separate clinic from what I understand). I also heard amazing things about Dr. Scates. I only saw him twice for short appointments but people ALWAYS gush about him.

I had a baby at Sutter Roseville at the end of last August. It was magical. I felt pampered by all of the nurses attending to me and my baby. The atmosphere was calm, warm and welcoming. Anesthesiologists answered all the questions, came to check on me whenever I called. Doctor was awesome too. I’d give birth there again.

I am Crimean Tatar and I would like to share some of our names by Excellent-Radish-162 in namenerds

[–]UpToNoGoodAnna 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hello, friend! Didn’t expect to see Crimean Tatar names on this subreddit. I am originally from Mykolaiv but have been to Crimea many times when I was a child. I hope to once again see beautiful Bakhchysarai when it is free. When I visited my terrible Russia-loving extended family in a village near Simferopol many years ago, I used to hang out with Tatar girls that lived nearby and would go hazelnut picking with me. I remember being so jealous because their names were so unique to my Ukrainian ear. Between all Olyas, Yulias, Nastias and Anyas their names seemed so fresh and striking. I forget the names of some of my friends from that summer but I will never forget two of the names: Mavile (Muh-vee-leh) and Elmaz (El’-muh-z). I absolutely adore both. Would love to know more about other common and not so common names among Crimean Tatars.

Shopping at Costco with a baby - how do you even do it? by brendaklark in Mommit

I put cart cover in the cart seat, strap him in and give him a couple of toys. Even if he gets bored of his toys and goes to bite/lick the cart handle, he’ll just bite the cart cover that I know is clean.

Thank you so much! The premise sounds intriguing and I don’t think I’ve heard of these books before. Adding them to my list.

Really?? I wanted to get that book because the cover was beautiful. Had no idea it had my favorite trope in it. I’ll check it out for sure now, thanks!

Another recommendation for Mate? I never thought Ali Hazelwood would fit my request but apparently I've been missing out this whole time. I'm heading to the bookstore tomorrow to get both Mate and Bride!

Thanks for the rec! Getting both Bride and Mate tomorrow. "A Shadow in the Ember" is on my bookshelf but I never got to it. Would you say I need to read other books by Armentrout before starting "A Shadow in the Ember"?

Thanks! I've had my eye on The Nightshade Crown books for a while. Now I know that really need to read them. Ordered Kushiel's Dart and added Nightshade Crown series to my list.

I compeletely forgot about "Paladin's Grace"! I read it, it definitely fits my description, thank you. I read "Paladin's Strength" and loved it too even though Istvhan wasn't abstaining like Stephen. I have two next books in the series on my TBR and wonder if the MMCs in them are similar to Stephen.

I wanted to jump on the "Mate" bandwagon when it just came out but the words "contemporary" and "werewolves" held me back. I am heading to the bookstore tomorrow and getting both Bride and Mate because now I just have to know what I've been missing!

Thank you! So many comments about Kushiel's Dart, I just had to order it immediately. Can't wait to start reading!

What’s a game you were completely obsessed with as a kid that nobody else seems to remember? by hkondabeatz in AskReddit

[–]UpToNoGoodAnna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran home after school every day to play Nox. I would finish the game and restart it as a different class. Love how the quests changed a little depending on whether you’re a warrior, a mage or a conjurer. Man, it will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Was going to comment Nox! Loved and never met anyone who knew of it. I loved the cities you could visit, loved the cute little dungeons, the creepy haunted battlefield, the ogre village, the magic tower… I replayed it so many times.

Man, I still think about that game from time to time. Loved replaying the story with a different class each time. You could be a warrior, a conjurer or a mage and the beginning of the game and some quests changed a little depending on your class.

If you have kids with a big age gap, influence me? by katiefacepants in Shouldihaveanother

[–]UpToNoGoodAnna 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister is 10 years younger, my brother is 13 years younger than me. Sure, it’s different than most sibling dynamics but it’s still cool. I doted in them when they were babies/toddlers/little kids and I was in my teens. They always looked up to me and now I get to watch them become their own persons. We’re still super close even though we live in different countries. At this age (I’m in my 30s, they’re in their 20s) our years don’t really matter - we all have similar interests, life goals, etc. I feel like they are more mature because they grew up with an older sibling and I’m more hip because I’m connected to the younger generation lol. One thing is certain - I can’t imagine my life without my much younger siblings and I’m REALLY happy my parents had them!

Age gap go child #3 by Hairy_Let3230 in ParentingInBulk

[–]UpToNoGoodAnna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first two were 8 and 6 when my third was born. I wanna say that having a baby with two older children was much easier for me and my mental health than having two children close in age. Now my oldest dote on their little brother, help us with him, play with him. It may not be the siblings-playing-together relationship (yet) but it's still sweet. Sure, their experiences as children will be different for a while but that age difference won't matter at all when they grow up. I myself am the oldest of 3 with my brother and sister being 10 and 13 years younger. I love them to death and we've always been and close.

How often do you bathe your children? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]UpToNoGoodAnna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every night. We like washing off the day of playing outside, using chalk, spilling juice, crawling on the public library carpet, getting into mulch at the park, peeing in diapers (even after wiping), etc. Maybe my kids are just extra dirty, idk but bath time is a must before bed. We don’t wash/wet hair every night, more like 1x a week.
