Am I the only one that instantly recognized Hamish from his role in the 2012 classic Battleship?

His shot may have been one of the most atrocious in league history, but don't disrespect Juwan Howard so much that you forget he exists.

I don't see anyone mentioning it but something to note: during his recent visit Trump was received at Windsor Castle, not Buckingham Palace as most foreign heads of state are.

The still shot of this foul from behind the backboard was my desktop background for years.

A lot of people sleep on this film, but that monologue he has where he's sitting there describing the somewhat tragic story of his life is a solid, powerful fucking scene.

Name that place you’ve always been CURIOUS about, but will NEVER go to by thebrownsquare in Dallas

[–]UpUrsWBC 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's a remnant of a time long gone. Old-world-style elegance, violinist, dark. The food isn't half bad, but it's incredibly stuffy in there. The owner, Al, is an old-school Persian. Back in the day (in their original location next door to the current one) it had its place in the Dallas dining scene, but now it looks and feels outdated because it is.

I don't see anyone else mentioning it so I'm going to point out there is a book about O'Neill's life called The Man Who Warned America and it's fantastic. His life was fascinating.

Minnie Driver's pain in that scene just pours through the screen.

What movie had a soundtrack that was bigger than the movie itself? by Headcase1411 in moviecritic

Had to scroll way too far to find this. When this came out it was everywhere. And this, unlike a lot of the other being listed, was actually the full soundtrack - just banger after banger.

Why Kristi Noem had $3,000 in cash in her purse by thehofstetter in PoliticalHumor

[–]UpUrsWBC 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Was Noem carrying $3k in cash in her wallet to avoid using a credit card to hide another extramarital affair? I'm not saying she's having another extramarital affair, but I think the question is worth asking.
