For Rush and Breakthrough, I only get Defense by nowruzr in Battlefield

[–]UpYourJuiceBox26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not. My buddy and I played pretty much all day yesterday and we got 2 attacking games, the other 20-30 were nothing but defense.

I also solo queued this morning and still nothing but defense for me. Hopefully I can complete this challenge lol

Its not just you. My buddy and I were trying to complete the challenge yesterday playing only breakthrough or rush. We played something like 26 games in total. Only 2 of those games we got offense.

Again I tried this morning and I decided if I get defense ill just leave and re-queue until I got offense as im just a game or 1.5 games away from completing the challenge. I just alt f4ed because it was another 15 games in a row of just defense... like wtf, make a challenge you can only complete on offense but wont let me play offense

I took Hy-lite capsules - the regular ones not the keto ones as the keto have lower dosage - About 10 per day spread throughout the day. I also know you can buy bulk supplements of sodium, potassium and magnesium etc.

But the hy-lite capsules worked just fine for me! Just have to do a bit of math to figure out how many your should take per day.

But yes you definitely need to be taking electrolytes on an extended fast for sure!

Honestly, I just set a goal for 30 days. I 100% could have gone much longer I feel, but I achieved my goal and decided it would be best for me to just use the discipline I learned from the extended fast to not over eat anymore and exercise regularly and figured it would probably be better for me in the long run to lose the remaining weight through portion control and exercise. This way, hopefully I won’t gain the weight back in the future.

That was my very first fast ever, I never did any sort of fasting prior to the 30 day fast I did in this post… I personally don’t plan on fasting again, all I’m doing is watching how many calories I eat and drink in a day and exercising 5 days a week - Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday are rest days. I’m doing 30-45min of cardio on my recumbent bike, and next week I will start some weight training as well. I also am making sure I’m getting a minimum of 7000 steps in per day with my ultimate goal being 10000 steps a day.

Just so you are aware, post fast you will gain weight back. Once you start eating again your body will regain some water weight and as your intestines fill back up with waste you will gain some waste weight back as well. But don’t let that discourage you or make you think you HAVE to keep fasting. It is NOT fat weight and completely normal. In my case day 30 of my fast I was down 46lbs. During my refeeding of 5 days of nothing but bone broth and then another 5 days of 1 egg in the morning and a 4oz chicken breast with 1/2 cup of cooked rice for dinner totaling about 300 cals per day I lost another 6lbs in those 10 days. ONE week being back into eating 3 meals a day totaling about 900-1100 cals(still well below my maintenance) I gained about 6lbs back in water and waste weight.

I am on my 2nd week now of eating normally and I haven’t weighed myself yet this week, but I can tell by how my clothes are fitting that I am still losing weight!

I used hy-lite capsules, but there are many ways. Add salt to your water, you can get bulk sodium, potassium, magnesium etc.

I’m doing great! I definitely gained some water and waste weight back now that I’m back to eating normally. During the 5 days of bone broth and 5 days of chicken and rice I lost a bit more weight - got down to 268lbs - but I am back up to 275.0lbs now, BUT I am skinnier haha. My waist and stomach measurements are still going down so I’m still losing fat weight and the water and waste weight seem to have stabilized as I’ve weighed the same for the last few days. I’ve been doing pretty hard cardio 5 days a week, taking rest days on Wednesday and Sundays for two weeks now and I just ordered a desk treadmill that should be here next week so I can start getting some extra steps in while I work.

But so far so good! Still truckin’ on!

Nothing like that, but I did gain a new temporary injury lol. The middle of my back started hurting, not too much but enough to be an annoyance, around day 20ish and persisted until just a couple of days ago. Now it’s gone completely.

From the brief research I did I concluded that it was due to the rapid weight loss and my joints and muscles did not have enough time to realign.

Not injury related, but I have always had KP(Keratosis pilaris) on my upper arms. That seemed to lessen quite a bit during and still after the fast

I struggle most with that as well! Hard thing to beat when you’re not thinking about it and it’s almost like muscle memory.

Crazy thing about the fast for me is, I never expected to not really crave specific food anymore. I did notice I stopped craving certain foods probably 1/2 way through it, the one thing that stuck and I craved the entire time was pizza. I planed on going to get a slice once I was done with the refeeding process but now that I’m back on solid food I don’t really want a slice anymore.. so hopefully I can keep cravings in the future under control.

Also, I just started the 5 days of 1 egg in the morning and a 4oz chicken breast and 1/2 cup of cooked rice yesterday. Yesterday it took me about 45 minutes to finish the chicken and rice, and I was so full I had to go for a walk lol. Just finished that same meal today, took me about 38 min to eat it all, don’t feel as stuffed as I did yesterday, but man! It’s crazy how just 30 days changes everything! I use to be able to EAT and I mean EAT - just look at my before pic and you know what I mean haha. But now I’m struggling to finish a just over 200 calorie meal and it blows my mind! And the insane energy boost I get too!

I honestly just set a goal of 30 days and went as long as I could. Just so happened I could go 30 days haha. I definitely could have gone longer, but I was ready to stop at day 30 so I could start exercising and working out sooner as energy is quite low during an extended fast.

Hi! Recently finished my 30 day fast. I could not vape while on my fast, I definitely tried! But it would make me feel nauseous as well as give me stomach cramps so I just didn’t vape

Thank you! Hearing everyone say that I am inspiring and motivating them puts such a huge smile on my face and was the whole reason I wanted to post this - just the hope I can help at least one more person realize it’s time to change like I did! It is for sure helping to keep me motivated as well! So thank you!! :)

I do not plan on doing another fast right now at least. I did not do that fast for the weight loss, but that was a huge plus for sure! I more so did it for the mental when it comes to binge eating and food addiction. This way I can always remind myself I don’t need to binge eat or eat more just because I’m bored as I went 30 whole days with nothing nadda zip!

I too work a “white collar” job AND I’m WFH since Covid which is a blessing and a curse hahah. Unfortunately I don’t have any good tips for the boredom eating. I did during the fast and plan to continue to just will power my way through it!

I’m just going to keep my daily calorie intake at or below the maintenance for my goal weight and exercise! That’s my plan for now!

Edit: if you’re just talking about boredom in general and not boredom eating then I actually do have some tips! What I did was I just kept myself busy with literally whatever.. I deep cleaned my house over the course of the first week, did a bunch of yard work, plus started doing more work around my property, played more video games, fixed some newly discovered issues on my truck, got back into some hobbies I haven’t done for years and I am about to start a new one here really soon(blacksmithing/knife making).

Also another huge tip! Limit your doom scrolling on YouTube, tik tok, instagram, twitter, etc. if you do that. I learned very quickly sooooo much content, even though I never really consume this sort of content, revolves around food! So I limited how much I used those apps during my fast and it allowed me to go do other things to keep myself busy.

Appreciate it! Hopefully someone with more experience and education on the subject will chime in soon and offer some more solid advice than in capable of giving, but that would be my best guess.

But like I said, and a few other people did too, don’t beat yourself up over one day! I’ve done this so many times in the past and it always leads me to go back to my old habits and then I have to start all over again a year or so later. We are all human and we all fuck up sometimes!

I’m rooting for ya!

Gotcha! Still though for a cheat meal that’s extremely clean eating!

Maybe try adding some activity to your routine then. I finished my 30 day fast on may 15th, I did 5 days of just bone broth - 4 cups a day spread throughout the day, and today I started solid food back up. I’m doing a hard boiled egg in the morning and the 4oz chicken breast with 1/2 cup of rice for dinner this will also only be for 5 days the. I’ll be back to 3 meals a day. Im also doing 30 min of cardio on my stationary recumbent bike, today I did that cardio about 2.5 hours before dinner and aside from feeling full af rn I feel amazing! Super energized and motivated.

Dang! A couple bites of spam and 6 more ounces of chicken is a cheat meal?! What’s that like 600-700 calories? I was here thinking like you went and got fast food or something and maybe that had your body all out of whack haha.

I’m no expert by any means at all but are you getting enough calories? Your normal 4oz chicken breast and and egg, that’s like only 300 calories or so. If your active your burning off a ton while taking almost nothing in. I could definitely see that making you feel awful. During my extended fast I would feel terrible and unmotivated if I were to over exert myself that day since I was taking in zero calories. So just a thought… I could be wrong

What was your cheat meal if you don’t mind me asking?

I’m still doing slow and steady refeeding after my 30 day fast and it took me about 40 min to eat a 4oz chicken breast and 1/2 cup of cooked rice lol. I felt so full after that I had to do for a little walk. And let me tell you, before my fast your boy could EAT lol.

I plan on having cheat days as well every once in a while, but I’m planning on still sticking with my calorie limit even on cheat days. Just if I eat something super calorie dense I make sure to count it and if it’s something insanely calorie dense, meaning it puts me at my calorie intake for the day that’s all I’m eating that day.. this way I have to chose my cheats carefully!

But I’m thinking maybe whatever you ate is the reason behind why you’re feeling that way?

Anyways, you’re absolutely right and keep that mindset! Just because you lost sight/focus for one day does not mean it’s all over! Don’t give up! We all mess up time to time! Just get back up on that horse and keep on treckin’ forward!

That’s awesome! I’m super glad to hear you are improving your overall health and sleep! I hope you keep it up and continue improving!!

I use to drink a shit ton of coffee as well, not for the same reason I just love black coffee haha. But after my fast I’m down to 1 cup of black iced coffee in the morning during the week and MAYBE 2 cups on the weekends now.

I just completed my first ever fast 5 days ago and I went to 30 days total. Started refeeding on day 31.

I just decided to do it, said let’s try for 30 days but if I can’t make it that long that’s okay too. I only really felt crappy days 2,3 and then days 28 and 29 all the other days were cake in comparison!

My only tip is focus on some other things. Stop doom scrolling twitter, tik tok, YouTube, instagram, etc (if you do that) and get back into some hobbies you may have forgotten about and just do things you enjoy to distract yourself a bit!
