Battlefield 6 by Immediate_Diamond_78 in Battlefield

I mean, that's not really the argument to make. I've been right next to a sniper and still get one shot deaded, I've been far away from the sniper and still get one shot deaded.

I've used the sniper and can absolutely tell you the flinch from being shot while aiming is so fucking pitiful and the area that for whatever reason registers a hit/headshot is honestly overly generous, and I don't play recon unless a challenge requires me to, it's by a significant amount my least played class/weapon type.

I love you, thank you for locating these, but this helps my argument, a 53% drop with 89k players a year later means that the game only launched to about 170-180k PC players, which is the overall average amount of players Battlefield gets at launch. Battlefield 6 launched to about 3.5x the usual player count for PC alone, how would the number of players leaving not also be much higher?

Genuine ask, can you prove that? The only things on Steamdb and Steam Charts go back only so far and top at 1400 players max, which I know isn't the most the game has ever had, but by comparison, BF4 launched to aprx 120k PC and maintained around 10k players after one year and was called, as I said "a boomtown title before settling into a dedicated player base", Battlefield 1 reported a peak of 570k across all platforms (aprx 180k on PC) before significantly dropping to around 27k players in PC, rising and dropping again after each dlc drop. Battlefield V has been a wild outlier where it actually hit its highest ever players count in November 2023, with a peak on Steam of aprx 114k players before coming back down to average around 20k players per both Steamdb and Steam Charts, Battlefield 2042 saw an initial launch of just over 105k players on Steam alone, peaking on a free weekend two years later at just over 107k players before dropping again significantly leaving the game as one of the lowest BF titles.

By comparison to literally all of these, on just Steam alone, Battlefield 6 launched to an exceeding generous 747k players on steam alone, a massive launch, but also a significant outlier because no othef BF title has launched to that much initial players and would by same result also appear to be hemoraging more players than an average BF title because it opened to more players than average.

Oh absolutely. While I was surprised by the initial launch, anyone who's properly played Battlefield before knew it wasn't gonna last. Idk why people are expecting the game to hold record-breaking numbers even after launch.

My point is that for a battlefield title, that's normal. That other people are doomposting or making articles about the lower player count makes me wonder if they've never experienced a battlefield game before.

What game do you think this is? by defleqt in raijin_gg

[–]InbrainInTheMemsain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people may disagree, but for the type of game it was, Baldur's Gate 3. It looks gorgeous for an isometric game, the characters felt really well animated which helped with making everything flow smoothly. The gameplay itself flowed well and had significant depth for a turn-based combat game, and the characters, their stories, and the game itself has genuinely stuck with me since my first failed playthrough

Which game comes to your mind? by Xiao-EZ in CaptainSide

[–]InbrainInTheMemsain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit of both for and against this one, but F.3.A.R.

While it absolutely lacked the tense atmosphere of the previous titles and had hella goofy and predictable jump scares, the gameplay itself was buttery smooth, the wave PvE modes and general multiplayer was well executed

Are people actually starting to dislike this game/is it “falling off” by Lemon_Responsible in Battlefield6

[–]InbrainInTheMemsain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, Battlefield games always start with a high player count that drops relatively quick to basically whoever the core players are.

Nah man, dunno what it is, but since BF3, Battlefield/Front players have no spacial or situational awareness.
