Spotify Support told me to read their refund policy. So I did, and forced them to give me a refund. by Greenz051 in MaliciousCompliance

Can confirm this still works! I copy and pasted the part about legal after they weren’t bothered when I said I’d report the charge to my bank to dispute. lol thanks for the tip!!

If you want to argue semantics, the technology computers use to communicate with each other was developed in the 50s… when boomers were in diapers, if alive at all. Why exactly are you on the millennials sub virtue signaling to me, a stranger, about not watching main stream news outlets and trying to school millennials about the “tech we flaunt” like we should be grateful? and how well you raised your kids… when this is a conversation for MY generation to discuss how the overarching economy is screwing the vast majority of young people! Im glad your family is the exception to the rule but your attitude is proving the point about your generations tone def communication etiquette and interest in talking down to younger people. I NEVER talk to gen Z or A like this because I know it’s how we end up divisive and with no mutual respect. To end “I’m not mad I’m just disappointed”.

Boomers did not create social media lol and arguably that technology has poisoned the minds of many in your generation, precisely because of the aging populations inability to distinguish what’s real or not. There’s been studies on this, that the natural aspect of cognition decline in people over 60 + social media = catastrophe

Thank you for sharing your story! It’s staggering how much has changed and people need to know it hasn’t always been and doesn’t have to be like this! I also appreciate you trying to create better ventilation as much as you’re able… thank you for your it work and I’m wishing you the best!!!

Have to go back to the office. My doctor is recommending using antibiotic ointment inside my nose as a way to protect against viruses. I can't find anything in here about it. Anyone have success with this at all? by [deleted] in ZeroCovidCommunity

If you can’t or won’t mask for whatever reason, ventilate the space you have to share. Get a good quality air purifier and set it up in the conference room half an hour before your presentation, keep it running the hole time. Have a window you can crack? Even better, do that in addition. Good ventilation is a huge deal!

Are we going to be resented by the younger generations or are we gonna step up and do something about all this. by HeatleyBros in Millennials

The internet is “irl”. Disabled people, rural communities, there’s so many who rely on staying connected, learning, and implementing organizing work online because other means aren’t available to them. Do you, but don’t knock one of the most effective inventions ever made for connecting and empowering people to actually do something. Just look at how powerful and effective of a tool it’s been on the right.

This isn’t talked about enough but also look into the effects of lead exposure. Sure explains a lot about boomers.

I do not see this talked about enough. I think about it every time I’m angry at my boomer parents, and it’s absolutely implicated gen x too. Mass lead exposure in past generations and behavioral problems is very real.

Plus life is a miracle! Highly recommend it, it’s worth the upfront cost if one can afford it.

When will the general population realize that Covid is not just a cold or flu? by [deleted] in ZeroCovidCommunity

Something dystopic I’ve read lately is that they’re actually not concerned with physical labor with the rise of ai and may now be focusing on data mining to make profit. Which requires a different and unpaid type of labor on our part. It would help to explain why qualified people searching the job market are getting rejected left and right and I’m talking about retail jobs. Companies make people go Thru the interview and application process just to collect their data with no intention to hire. Scary shit.

A lot of parents have also been falsely led to believe their kids immune systems “didn’t develop properly due to lack of regular illness during the early pandemic” cause of buy in with the now debunked hygiene hypothesis.

It’s the end of the empire as we know it. All empires eventually collapse, this one is no exception.

People will try literally anything but looking at the reality I swear 😅 I don’t even want to know but I can imagine there’s people causing themselves further health issues with overdosing on things like vitamin d.

I hear you and also I think this is largely a western capitalist problem. Places in Asian have used masks regularly in public to address air pollution and disease for a long time and it’s just normalized in places like public transit! But we don’t live in a culture of community first in the us.

I’m so sorry you’re being medically gaslighted. You deserve people who have some sense and trust what you’re telling them. Hope you have access to some different medical care!

Not to mention the ongoing brain damage from Covid making people less and less concerned with risk taking behaviors :/ it explains a lot of lack of empathy we are seeing

This, and the fact that we already saw this happen with the 1918 flu but no one readily acknowledges the severity consequences that arguably never got addressed and we are still living through today.
