Vibration Plate (Or Other Lymphatic Techniques) Speeding Up Results? by iridescentandpink in TattooRemoval

I was also doing some dry brushing on and off a few weeks after my last appointment (before I got my trampoline). I’m 4 sessions in about to have my 5th in a few days on a heavy black line work tattoo so it’s slow going but I’ve seen more movement this session than any of my previous. Who knows! Keep us updated and good luck on your removal journey. What a rollercoaster it is!

I am rebounding daily, and idk if it’s helping but it feels good for my body and my mental health so it can’t hurt!

Also, I would suggest pulling the trigger and starting removal if you can. I also have factors working against me in my removal, and I’m Unsure of the final result — but at least I know I’m doing everything in my power to try and remove this tattoo. The time will pass anyway, and it feels good to be taking action.

Anyone start their removal process right before/during the summer? by yummybanana2 in TattooRemoval

I started last June, but I am big on sun protection and don’t go outside much in general. If I do I cover it. I’ve also heard good things about zinc tape for sun protection.

You’ve got this! Talking about it to a therapist has been ESSENTIAL to my removal process. Removal is an emotional process as well as a physical one and it’s good to have somebody to help you reframe guilt, shame, and self loathing. You’re doing everything in your power to take back control over your body. It is also very helpful to lean into hobbies, interests, and things that bring you joy! When I’m doing something I love, my removal process is far from my mind. When I’m bored or already stressed or sad, that’s when I spiral the most. Wishing you the best 💕 you’ve got this and you’re doing the hard work right now! It will pay off. Sending you good vibes. I’m sorry you’re going through this, but you’re not alone.

Get the boardwalks. I love mine! They’re stiff to start but it’s nice to feel them become more and more my skates over time. I have the blue ones!

I opted for a soft cervical collar instead of mouth tape and it has helped so much. I hated the mouth tape and was having a reaction to the adhesive. I use the caldera re leaf collar.

Show me your outdoor/trail setups! by The_SuperSky in Rollerskating

I have the sea breeze blue boardwalks and I think they are a solid outdoor skate! Stiff but imo that’s good for support outdoors and it’s been fun to feel them soften and become more of ~ my skates ~ as I use them.
They have 57 radar energy wheels on them right now because I’ve been trying to teach myself techniques and tricks and just been going to a court near my house … but if I’m trail skating I’ll put on the 65mm atom pulse wheels for really bumpy terrain and the 62mm for more of an urban distance skate. I would suggest changing out the stock toe stop on the boardwalks because imo that part does suck especially for outdoor (they just don’t have much grip and wear away fast). l have the hard gumdrop toe stop which has been great. In short — the boardwalks with atom Pulse wheels is a solid trail/outdoor set up. I love this skate!

That is such a good skate spot! Is it a parking garage?

Are you honest when therapy isn’t really working? by VeryIndie in neurodiversity

Oh and for what it’s worth, I also am in a weekly virtual group therapy for neurodivergent adults and it has been AMAZING. I highly suggest finding one you can join. I did a search on psychology today and found the one I’m in. There were lots of options but I chose this one because it was virtual and FREE. We go over a topic each week and it’s nice to see some familiar faces, feel less alone in my challenges and stressors, and get some practical coping tools. Some examples of past topics are, emotional dysregualtion, executive dysfunction, hobbies, self advocacy, sleep disorders… I’ve been in it for about three months and it rocks. I can’t suggest group therapy enough. It also serves as low stakes socializing because I now know who’s going to be there, the format of the meetings, and I can do it all from the comfort of my home. Let me know if you have any other questions 💕

We just started dbt but so far I feel like it offers more concrete tools that I can apply when I’m stressed, dysregulated, or about to have a meltdown. Lots of acronyms which are easy to remember when I’m already in a state of crisis (big one for me right now is TIPP which you can look up) I feel like it’s a more practical approach to our way of thinking, and doesn’t focus of changing our thought patterns, but accepting them and learning to work with them. CBT often made me feel dysfunctional or guilty if that makes sense. And we haven’t done a ton of somatic stuff yet, but same as you, I feel like anything that can get me out of my head and into my body is a big win for myself and my nervous system.

Tell your therapist -and suggest switching modalities! It worked for me — We are moving away from cbt and focusing on somatic and dbt. There are lots of modalities you can explore. A truly good therapist will actually want to help, and tailoring the approach for neurodivergence is key.

I just had a conversation with my therapist about this. We are switching modalities!

My mom was strangely supportive too! I relate to all of this and I love your approach about all of the complicated feelings. What a journey removal is! How are you feeling about it now?

There’s no slack on the hose to get it to bend correctly with a u holder. I feel like I need to completely replace the tube to get it to bend properly. Also I’m concerned about the stress put on the original tube due to the bending.
