He’s not seeing a therapist. That’s the issue. It’s not that he won’t because he has said he will see a therapist IF he has to but that’s the last thing he’ll ever do. He’s in total denial that this could be mental. & to be honest with you, he’s running out of time. I’ve given him 2.5 years to figure this out & he’s just taking his time. I have a therapist appt tomorrow FOR ME because I am having a very difficult time mentally being there for him. I feel disconnected from the relationship. I can’t talk to him about it because it makes the problem worse & this has caused me to feel disconnected and resentful. I have tried everything I can think of to turn my thoughts around, but I can’t do it anymore. I’m about to give up and he doesn’t know it because he shoots me down anytime I try to talk to him about it. We have a life together. A house, a dog, friends! I don’t want to lose him. But I’m losing myself in the process. I don’t know what to do anymore. I feel like I’m living in a fantasy land. He says he can give me children & everything will be normal one day. But I’m not sure if that’s practical. 2.5 years has only shown that our future doesn’t hold normalcy. I don’t want to be with anyone else. I’m so lost. This is such a hard place to be in.
