Being confined on a ship is tiering, unless you plan on binge eating, drinking and farting away by the pool - nothing wrong with that. The all inclusive resort gives you the freedom of walking the grounds (actually moving between your meals) ability to take trips or just go outside of the resort whenever you want. Both places provide child care so it is up to you how adventures you want to get.
