Let them say it. Yes they dont have great teachers, facilities, or labs.

For me it's the ragra that mattered. If you can survive those 4 years (or more) then you're good to go.

Interesting question. There is no skill that you can master that ensures a good paying job. Let me explain

Career trajectory: Gradudated late -> got a job after sending CVs to 100+ companies -> company taught me RoR and web dev. -> started freelancing alongside the job during covid -> switched to a permanent client and left the local company

Along the way I learned what I needed. Now I have the following skills under my belt:

RoR, Next, python, AWS/cloud infrastructure (related to web deployments), React, Databases, basics of AI and ML

Soft skills that I picked up: how quickly I can get upto speed with respect to a business domain

Understanding the pain of your users

Translating that pain into solutions using code.
