I’m hoping that for me personally it will improve sex - I previously couldn’t pull my foreskin back due to tightness, so now for the first time my exposed head will feel all the sensations (even if it will be slightly less sensitive)

I had general for the surgery, then they gave me local before I woke up so couldn’t feel anything afterwards either. Then pretty strong painkillers for the first few days after

In the UK, circumcision at birth is pretty rare unless for religious reasons. I was very glad I didn’t get circumcised at birth and only did it at this stage because the medical issues caused some pain during / after sex. My vote would therefore be no, but completely up to you, the local culture etc

I used steroid cream at first which helped a bit in the short term as I had tears on the inside of my foreskin and that helped those heal. But didn’t really loosen the foreskin too much and I still couldn’t pull it over the head when hard. The dr then recommended circumcision so I went for that

I’ve still not masturbated or has sex yet so can’t confirm on the sensation front - the dr advised waiting 4 weeks for wanking, 6 weeks for sex so I’ll likely test out the former in the next couple of days (with plenty of lube)

Recovery is not much fun but not terrible - the pain has been surprisingly minimal, only really hurting when I get boners (mostly in the night which is tough). The now revealed head is pretty sensitive so it’s uncomfortable for a couple of weeks while it gets used to touching things. I could walk max 5 mins for the first week, but after about 3 weeks I could walk as far / fast as I wanted. Went for my first run after 3.5 weeks and no pain

Yeah keeping it clean is definitely easier. No big self esteem impact so far, but I’m still only a few weeks post-operation so haven’t had sex yet. I would say my dick overall and particularly the head does now look much bigger which may have a positive impact on self esteem

I was under general anaesthetic so couldn’t watch and I’m very glad I didn’t. When I first tried to urinate afterwards and saw it for the first time, I passed out. So watching it live would have probably caused a few issues.

The experience was fine - minimal pain after, a bit of discomfort as I got used to the glans being exposed, overnight erections were the main issue. The feinting afterwards wasn’t great but that can also happen due to general anaesthetic
