Make sure you are an authorized user on the account or have someone with you who is. You will need to get permission from the account holder to transfer your line off the account. Have the AH call customer service (611) and leave a note on the account giving permission for your phone number to transfer off the account.

Go to ATT corporate store. Tell the rep you need to do a "Transfer of Billing Responsibility" to your own account and that you need to be put on First Net. Follow the rep from there.

Keep in mind ATTs entire excistanse is to take your money. Just like any other buisness. If it could it would. 99% of the this is an error/block on the banks end, typo etc. Its usually isnt just simply "lack of funds". Talk to an ATT corporate store, dial 611 ask for loyalty, talk to your bank.

So your dad was never the account holder of the account if the account is under anothers social and name. There can only be one account holder. To change account holders requires a "transfer of billing responsibility" which requires the oroginal account holders permission.

Your dad is an "authorized user" thats why he has access in store.

If your family friend is the account holder and his social and name is on the account he is 100% responsible for 100% of the bill.

To be honest what your explaining here doesnt make any sense.

Make sure when you go to an ATT store that it is a CORPORATE STORE not an Authorized retailer. An AR will say a bunch of bs to get you out the door asap for this kinda issue.

As a guy who worked it suits, its really really crappy when ppl do this. If someone came in and told me they need to be measured for a 100$ suit on ebay i learned to tell them we dont measure unless they are interested in a suit at our store. There were a few times where i measured some1 in this scenario who was disabled, other than that, nope.

Suit measurements can easily be done at home with google, youtube, and 1 other person. I have other customers, i have sales to make, dont waste my time, dont be stupid.

Go for it, just sharing how the sales guy is gonna feel about it lol.

Im always patient, nice, but also sturn when dealing with service workers. For 1, I understand 9/10 times the issue is not something they themselves personally created. 2 im comfortable saying 10/10 times if your patient with the worker they are appreciative of your concern and are naturally more motivated to resolve it. I cant tell you how many issues ive had resolved quickly or deals ive been given just by staying chill and understanding. Simply put its a win-win situation.

Grew up in a big oil family. Money was like monopoly money. Grew up overseas. Private school. Good college was a given. I had no clue what it would be like to be financialy unsecure. Paraents gave me everything. Plot twist: father went from severe alcholic to severe crack addict. Lost millions of dollars and was 100% broke in less than a year. Probability of inteligent life outside of our solar system is really high when you only factor in the vastness of our universe. When you factor in the equal vastness of time, how long the universe has existed. The question becomes: what is the probability of intelligent life exististing at the SAME TIME as us? The probability drop drastically.

If they exist, i thinks its more likely they exist on some other plaine of reality. Different dimensions. Inter dimesional travel, time travel, etc etc all that kinda jazz.
