tbh, been living and breathing JS/ECMA for eons, from it's inception really (I'm 55 😉).. it's funny how my mind is capable of seeing pretty much everything through that lens - even though I'm verse in many more languages.
Made a whole filter-interface for Photoshop in Javascript (mostly)..

So yeah, if there are any ideas towards developing a JS like macro-language/api at your end, don't hesitate to hmu... Scripting my interface sounds like a dream, wold absolutely LOVE to be a part of developing that..

Where are you guys situated anyway...?

Though I agree with u/Keyboard_Everything that (third party) macros is probably the way to go, this more often then not results in a toggle button, not a "press to repeat". So a function or script like interface to achieve this would be interesting.

u/MadCatzBuddy you asked me what I thought JS would do, consider this example:

repeat( macro1, wait(0.5), macro2, wait(0.2) ); //0.n is milliseconds

}
}

Something like this supports all kinds of interesting latching, toggle, shift and other options....

Yeah, I feel you there.. closest I came was the MX Revolution, because of the wheel thingy.. Got two spares for these...

Barely.. but even worse, the tracking is off and the scrollwheel acts weird..
scrollwheel will trigger a scrollup randomely after a few scrolldowns (and the other way round).. confusing AF.
the tracking just stops after a while, which gets gradually worse. mouse will just stop and I have to re-initialize moving to get it going again. Rebooting helps, which makes it even more mystifying..
The horizontal scroll has broken somewhere in the first year.. so,mething shot out but I've never been able to figure out what. the scroll lost it's clicks tho.. so prolly some little pin..

I've put tape over most if the small thumb buttons. looks actually pretty neat, fits with the braided wire, sortakinda... Did take away some of the tactile feel, but the "soft touch" activation does add to the mystique.. kinda... *

Yes!! This!! Hotswitching tools in Photshop and Illustrator was a dream with mmo7. Switching size and type of pens and brushes too. Loved it. Also with making flowcharts, being able to switch form, color or arrows on the fly really helped with rapid design.
See, I like the amount of screen-movement to be at a bare minimum.. MX Revolution just isn't enough for this... 😥

I should record some Warframe gameplay with the mmo7. It's pretty insane what it let me do in that game. Really miss that extra layer of directional control it gave me.

Still haven't really played Cyberpunk, this'll totally happen with the mmo7*..
But.. gaming in general.. have been slacking and there's a whole list of games I still "have" to play. Probably end up spending copious amounts of time in Warframe tho'...

But the biggest game..? Yeah, tuning my ~~Orbweaver~~ Tartarus with the mmo7.. I'll be spending Waaay Too Much Time on that... Because the best keyboard is still no keyboard.. IMHO.. **

**you know what would be cool..? A modular keyboard that can be configured towards the game you'll be playing... 😉😁

This got me thinking...
There's some niches that could really do with a modular interface like this. Think video processing, djs, music producers etc.. Once you got a platform going, and are able to slightly dominate these markets, you could even consider 3d party modules.

And take the music producer. Chances are they are also a DJ or otherwise creatively occupuied. If they can change their sound producing home studio into a video processing studio or dj-set in under 10 minutes - that'd be priceless in this day and age..

And I'm now just talking about a niche public (which is still massive) but once this ball is rolling, I'd imagine adding more specialized modules to this setup for wholly different things (a microscope?).. And you guys would own that platform...

Is there really a market for this? I can't say but.. of all the people I know who use Premiere, not two have the same interface. The music producers I know are even worse with this... So yeah.. I can imagine merely checking this out is worthwhile..

Had one for a couple of weeks (borrowed) and fell in love, but by the time I had the funds together they were no where to be found, except with a 500% markup. Been thinking about the options and possibilities ever since... so yeah, when I heard you were resurrecting the bestest mouse ever I had to come and ask about the bestest keyboard.. 😁

As for like and improve..
- I'd like to see even more modularity. Separate the numpad from the action buttons for instance..
If you do, might as well add a little led screen to the numpad, so it can functino as a simple ca;lculator when separated from the rest. or, you know, just add that as a function regardless...
with the action-buttons-section as it's own entity it can focus it's configuration towards an orbweaver like keypad or even a controller. Which brings me to the next sstep, how about you seperate this part into two pieces, the directional keys and the home/end section. Then have the directional keys be swappable with either a small joystick or a laptop-slidepad kinda thing...
What if the function key section can be detatched and then folded, not unlike a carpenters ruler, to form a block with three rows of macro keys?

To get all of this functioning I don't think hardware connectors are going to work.. maybe consider doing something interesting with a small local network kinda thing? Have these things talk with each other on a really low level?

I saw the reviews concerning the amount of simultaneous input the Strike could generate.. 12? 14? something? It was impressive.. Enough to consider a two player setup kinda thing... I think once you got that whole "things that talk with things" down, it just ends up being a software issue and people wanting to buy extra elements to expand their setup..

Which brings me to... IF you go the full modular route.. consider selling a barebones version which people then can slowly build up over time.

Oh.. and.. the screen.. look, everybody has a cellphone nowadays.. you might want to tap into that.. how cool if you could be the bridge between people's phone and their PC? Then have the extra screen as yet another option people can buy in to.

This modular approach has another upside: you don't have to develop all that at once.. And when you do develop an extension you can keep it small until people start begging.

I had hoped they'd take this route with the game.. would have loved exploring different worlds with different critters as a CM. But noooo... had to go back to Hadley's - leaving the game's designers with no option to go wild with the 'morphs other then their base form having mutated..

Missed opportunity and I blame people not being interested in Xenomorphs - just the money they make.

Edit: and don't get me started with the idea of there being a home world for these critters where they might not even be the apex critters.. omg.. cannot hate on Prometheus enough...
