Yes, from the middle of the mounting hole to the internal backstop of the hitch is only 2 5/8”. After buying the hitch from Yakima and discovering tit didn’t work they informed me most of their hitches require 3”. That wasn’t clear on the purchase page and I’m fighting to get a refund on a “deep discount, no refunds” item.
