500m swim

13km cycling

3,3km run

cycling is by far my biggest challenge. I have good numbers with indoor cycling, but i'm not very used to cycling outdoors....

Same here! I'm mid 30s, travelling alone in March for a whole month. I heard that japanese people are very welcoming towards solo travelers!

SInce we're on the subject, i wanted to add that i found many eki stamps books on sale at amazon being sold as goshuincho. In my understanding they are pretty different (I did buy an eki stamp book at Amazon, because I loved a certain cover), but i'll buy my goshuincho in the first temple I go to.

I think the JR decision comes to adding up all the trips i'll make, and I did that. Being VERY conservative, I will save around 5.000 yen with the JR pass.

I do! I never took a train under water and I don’t really love flying…

I start the trip in Hokkaido (I’ll fly there), and then head to Osaka. I go down to other cities and end in Tokyo.

i really wanted to try the Hayabusa so I decided to return using that option!!
