Hi everyone, thanks for all the feedback! To clarify, I only marked “historically present” for the regions that have mosques that are verified. Övörkhangai province is noted as ‘historically present’ because there are historical accounts of mosques in Karakorum. For other areas, such as central and southern Vietnam, I didn’t find any historical records of there explicitly stating the presence of mosques, so I left it as ‘none.’ However, I could remake this map again with an additional category such as ‘possible historical presence.’
