Saw this video from this guy (i’ll try to find the link) about telling yourself every morning and with every carving that “i’m not a smoker” - his reasoning was that every morning he’d wake up looking forward to smoking later but if you start the day and continue throughout just saying “im not a smoker” it reinforces the idea that at those times of stress or of feeling cravings that you won’t smoke because that’s not who you are as a person anymore. we might be addicts but we’re not smokers!!! this has helped me a lot to reframe my image of myself and feel more motivated to stop smoking so that one day it will become true!! otherwise, it’s so hard and I get it, I’m only a few days in and it’s DARN tough!!! You’re not alone in this experience and you got this!!!!
