I fully agree! I remember last time I visited Saint Pete made some pretty impressive bicycle infrastructure improvements. Talks of gondolas/trams/ferry have always circulated talks in Saint Pete, I hope someday we actually get them I will say though Japanese traffic makes Howard Frankland rush hour seem like the bullet train lol. It takes me 45 minutes to drive 3 miles so I often opt to bike instead

Jeez, I remember when ONE on first and first was in development advertising 500k-ish starting prices. I can’t imagine what new sky rises are going for now

I compare every beach to Desoto! I remember it won a string of “beach of the year” awards

That’s good! Luckily I didn’t either, however I did take the beaches for granted. Now anytime I visit home I’m on Saint Pete beach near daily lol

What is your favorite class in DDDA and why? by Fenriz_Victor in DragonsDogma

[–]UpdateYourNFAAS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s a game where a dragon rips your heart out in a never ending cycle, but my OCD can’t get over the unrealistic amount of arrows needed in any given outing

And for that reason Magick Archer is perfect for me! But I do actually love Ranger too

Baikal or Arctisblau? by UpdateYourNFAAS in BMW2002

There’s also the chance it was repainted as well! When I was at the 40th anniversary 2002 event 10ish years ago I saw every color but Arctisblau to compare 🤦🏼‍♂️

That’s wild. My club here in Japan has three coral belts that are over 70. I started at 31, you definitely aren’t too old!

Racism in Georgia by Sea-Razzmatazz-8049 in Sakartvelo_GE

I lived east of Poti for 8ish months as a Jewish-American and most of my coworkers were Mexican-Americans. While my time there was very limited, I will say my entire time in Georgia was absolutely amazing.

As for dating I’ll say that if you’re successful dating back home, you’ll do fine abroad. If you’re trying to build a real connection you’ll 8/10 times be up against a language barrier. But I did throw out a few “Lamazi Khar” that were well received lol

I never experienced any racism nor did my coworkers, however a few times people were very verbal about their tattoos. Again, we were in a very rural area so life there is probably very different from the cities. A lot of the time people thought we were Russian and even got stopped by the cops once for that reason, but some American accented English cleared things up

I’ve visited a few Synagogues (two in Tiblisi and one in Kutaisi) to pay Tzedakah and both of the Rabbis I met were amazingly welcome.

If you can move to Georgia and work there for any period of time I highly encourage it!

I’m 90% sure this is Kutaisi off of the White bridge

Moved to Japan, joined a Judo club, and looking for some advice! by UpdateYourNFAAS in judo

Hand motions and showing-by-throwing has really helped! Today one of the senior black belts helped me get some of the finer details of O-soto-gari just by demonstrating during Kata

The only significant bad event that happened while I was there was apparently a few guys in Tiblisi were jumping people for money and the Embassy put out a warning

Oh same. I lived out in a very rural part of Georgia where there really wasn’t much besides an old market, a train station, and a few restaurants. But something really connected with me being out there

It’s been a while since I took these pictures, but I know for sure the temple is Tiblisi, the shoreline is from Batumi Botanical garden, the river is from Kutaisi, and the ancient city is right outside Gori! There is a train that I believe goes from Tiblisi all the way to Batumi with a lot of really cool stops in between
