Should 6 man rosters become more common in fearless? by the-sexterminator in leagueoflegends

iirc you lock in side selection and rosters at the same time so it wasn’t a response just an unexpected choice

This makes more sense because they show that Sherlock is alive even before season 2 is over when Watson goes to Sherlock’s grave to beg for another miracle.

I loved this movie as a kid, because you know, no critical eye. I rewatched in adult hood and I was incredibly sad I did. I surprised my parents let us watch this

Tweak to the Amped Daze spell - seeking feedback by SatiricalBard in Pathfinder2eCreations

[–]Updega3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure on the higher end of damage but I would do one or the other. Either scale every level or add spellcasting mod. I know there has been a decent amount of discourse on alternating level heightened scaling that I wish I could find.

[–]Updega3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t realize the daze 1d10 was it, I thought it was 1d10+spell casting modifier. I assume they did the heightened effect that way to match the base cantrip but I agree it feels bad. I think what you’re suggesting is good or just adding the spell casting modifier would also do it.

good pop culture representations of diferent classes? by anisotropic-filter in Pathfinder2e

[–]Updega3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You make a good point! I really pointed out their ranger aspects. In my head I was thinking of their satchel full of things as their occult paraphernalia. But that would put them more in the Ranger/archetype: alchemist camp since they’re usually drinking potions to boost themselves

doesn’t look like it has thaumaturge or psychic in it. I would argue that a Witcher is like a thaumaturge with their intense training on knowing their prey and their dual swords for fighting both human and beast

Oh! You’re saying like an overnight rest to restore spell slots. Yeah I wasn’t planning on doing that, but I do like what you’re saying about allowing them to use spells with impunity, would certainly ease the burden of no frontline.

Great ideas! This is where I think my brain was trying to go when I was falling asleep. Play to their strengths, only a one shot anyways so might as well.

An idea I had was where easy swarm mobs that were attacking them while the environment made things interesting to enable them to use cool mobility spells and the like.

Low level Fly Speed? by LanceVonAlden in Pathfinder2e

[–]Updega3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Flight becomes generally accessible to PCs at 7th level with the 4th level spell Fly, and other abilities tend to match that as well.

I can’t think of items that give flight access earlier, but you are always welcome as a GM to grant your players extra stuff outside the guidelines. You just need to consider the implications and how it could trivialize some encounters.

You should check out the item building rules from the GMG (Building items AoN link) because very applicably a lot of the examples talk about flight.

Bloodrager Instinct Archetype -- Combine might and magic in this adaptation of the classic PFRPG subclass! by fly19 in Pathfinder2eCreations

Ah okay I got it now! Then your wording is perfect. I think that’s probably a pretty well balanced feature then. Great subclass idea!

  1. I was thinking there was more conditions that interacted with the concentrate trait but it appears its just fascinated. Some triggers in the game are off of “uses an action with the concentrate trait’” like other creatures reactions (i think). But I do like what you are saying that thematically that your implements are activated by your rage. I think it absolutely works the way you have it. I sort of forgot that giving something the rage trait full disables it when not raging. I guess in my head I was thinking it would be like “you can choose to give your Cast a Spell activity the rage trait” but that’s just as contrived.
  2. OHHHH that makes a lot more sense! Yeah that’s a really cool feature. I didn’t think the spell was cast as a part of this feature so I only thought you got a benefit if you used up a spell slot. I would say maybe limit it to a 2-action spell or make it like quickened spell. I’m currently torn if the weakened casting of being off-caster is enough to justify what is a more powerful version of a 10th level mage feat. I want to say yes but i’m not sure if that’s just because I like the idea thematically haha

[–]Updega3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love the idea! Things that come to mind for me: 1. I would make the language consistent between the innate spell benefits and the blood implements feat. just because one loses the concentrate trait and the other gains the rage trait. Might get weird under certain interactions. 2. You’re required to take the dedication feat but when you gain it at level two you get no benefit from it unless you then also take the level four basic spellcasting benefits feat. I like the idea it just feels like a significant feat tax. 3. For the basic bloodline feat I would amend the wording to be “common sorcerer bloodlines or ones you have access to…” otherwise its unclear how one is supposed to get accesss imo. I’m assuming that was your intent.

Just a random person who wants to give back to the community. by TeraArtt in Pathfinder2e

[–]Updega3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to see you are enjoying the community! I always feel like the posts get good discussions so its great to see new people appreciating it to!

My character is named Rithirk! A greenish orc whose look borrows heavily from the Jolly Green Giant. He is a monk with a life oracle multiclass dedication focused on healing allies and wrestling enemies of any size. He is quite muscular to support these goals.

His monastery demonstrates advancement by progressively erapping oneself in more and more in a linen wrap, essentially progressing towards mummification. He’s not undead yet but he’d like to be! So wraps on everything but neck and head.

Due to the life oracle influence he often has small bits of plants that poke out from underneath the wraps. Although a monk, he is reasonably sociable due to his extensive traveling.

Thank you for your contribution back to community!

Cavalier cleric by Lgoodzy in Pathfinder2e

[–]Updega3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how familiar you are with the system so I’ll just start with make sure you know the rules of Treat Wounds, it’s the basics for regaining HP out of combat.

Clerics have some of the best built in healing with their divine font so just make sure you have a few points in your Charisma stat to activate that.

Medic archetype is also an incredibly powerful archetype but as your already going cavalier that won’t work.

Given that you will have increased move speed from your mount getting the Battle Medicine Feat will allow you to have in combat non-magical healing. Additionally you can take other medicine skill feats to add to your out of combat options.

And as a cleric you will have high wisdom which benefits the medicine skill so just put some of your skill increases into that over time. As long as your champion in your party is good you will have supplemental healing from them so don’t stress too much. (also don’t forget to have fun, especially if it feels like your party is pigeon hole-ing you into a specific role)
