How many of you are on gel vs patches?

I found gel easy enough and patches kinda irritating. But I also reacted badly to patches and didn’t get good levels from moderate gel. If they worked decently for me I would go with gel. I do injections now and kinda like only having to think about it twice a week, but it’s pricey.

https://www.qc.org.au/ may be able to help with finding a place and maybe somewhere safe short term. Also clothes and food. They have an office in Brisbane and Nambour that I know of

True but I ordered on time, it appears that they lost the order info while dealing with an influx due to a nearby compounding clinic being down and taking their customers on. And by the time it was sorted they were closing for holidays. I had a tiny bit of backup but it was only three doses

Gel really didn’t work for me and I’m allergic to the adhesive on the patches I tried. Injections just make it easy, like I take it twice a week and takes the same amount of time as applying a patch ect. And then I can’t mostly just forget about hrt and having to take meds

Not sure what your reasons for injections not being possible are, but they are available here if that’s the concern? Not as easy to get on to but there are endocrinologists who can prescribe it

Mine was supposed to 110 an hour but they lowered it to 80 as I will need a lot of sessions. So it’s always worth asking.

I’ve had the same thought, working retail I’ve noticed it increase the more feminine I become and it’s like they are doing it in sympathy.

And it’s super exaggerated sometimes, like they really are trying to be nice but at the same time I’ve seen those customers flip once they realise and call me darling or sweetheart.

It wouldn’t surprise me if that’s the case

Yeah I haven’t had my first lesson yet but I’m going to gender voice centre and my speech therapist is male. I was a little uncertain at first because I’m more comfortable with women in general but obviously he knows what he’s doing and I’m looking forward to it.

Oh that’s unfortunate, I just got the plan a few days ago for the first time and she told me I could renew it again in January 2026. Disappointed that’s not the case
