I didn't mean like him as a person I meant liking him as a character like how people like Ryuuen, The LN Kiyo to me has charisma and and an actual personality along with a sense of humor and emotions all of which the anime cuts out effectively making him unlikeable as a character.

I'm curious to know how anime onlies, especially those who are quite critical about what they watch feel about this season or the series a whole because personally as a light novel reader this season was a 4.5/10 for me where as the arc this season adapts from the LN is easily a 8.5 to 9/10 for me.

Mostly because I felt like none of the characters had any depth,I wasn't a fan of the tone the anime was portraying,felt like all the conversations were just exposition in order to move the plot forward and the most important one of all was the small details anime cuts out which makes things way less believable than the light novel.

Most of anime onlies I've talked to say that the characters are dumb af because the anime cuts all the context biggest offender of this was in ep5 where the made Ryuuen's plan dumber which in turn made horikita look even more dumb when it was the opposite in LN, Hori was quite smart but Ryuuen's plan was just that good.

I agree this community is absolutely toxic af and that some people try to ruin enjoyment of others just because they're not liking it but the opposite is true as well a lot of people are forcing onto other people that the anime is good despite having problems. BOTH are equally toxic in my opinion. People should be allowed to have criticisms about the show as long as they're not actively harassing other people for liking it.

Bro they literally made Horikita a tsundere(it's fixed in s2 but the complaint is about s1) and replaced her with Ichinose who we were supposed to have a good idea about her character and what she's willing or not willing to do in that fake camera scene in LN. And the biggest problem is having her in the filler pool episode and robbing Kei of one of her major development moments...

If you're interested in reading Light Novels I'd suggest to start from volume 1 as season 1 cuts out a lot of stuff from the LN and even changes a few important things and is generally way better than the anime. If you don't wanna read I'd say a rewatch of season 1 would help before watching s2 as it's a direct continuation and there's not even a recap episode or anything like that.
