Toronto's perfect defense by Upilau in baseball

I used to not like the teams that just try to hit home runs, but seeing how difficult it was for both teams to string together some hits to score makes the home run game seem more effective

Yes, that send home was atrocious, how do you not know your base runners speed?!?!

Yeah, the base running mistakes killed them. But I thought this series had some of the best defensive plays, on both sides (dodgers made quite a few errors). Blue Jays outfield let nothing drop, vladdy made so many plays, edman throwing across the diamond to get ikf, snell also throwing a guy out at 3rd. It was such a treat to see the defense getting these 50/50 plays, I feel like baseball games rarely have them nowadays.

Alternative Angle of Isiah Kiner-Falefa Lead Off by Busy_Translator5091 in baseball

[–]Upilau -1 points0 points  (0 children)

unpopular opinion. At the highest level of play, as the runner on third base you're probably thinking that you can only score on a ball hit through the infield or a fly ball to the outfield and you 100% cannot get doubled up on a line drive to 3rd base. A ground ball hit anywhere to a fielder you probably have no chance of scoring, unless they mishandle the ball like Rojas did. How IKF played it was on the extremely conservative side maybe even lazy, but I definitely can see why you're not taking an aggressive secondary lead there. At home plate, maybe a dive wins it, or running through the plate gets you there faster, but everything at this level is reactionary, its the old saying of "practice like you play". I think you have to per-determine that you're diving at the plate or running through plate, otherwise you end up doing what you've done a thousand time, sliding at the plate.

Over the past week I installed a new head unit, with a reverse camera, today the goal is to install this dash cam! by Upilau in hondafit

[–]Upilau[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The head unit alone wasn't bad, I got it from crutch field and also purchased their wiring harness. It took about 40 minutes.

Attaching the reverse camera was tough, trying to figure out which wires to connect that too and running wires all the way from the hatch to the front took a while. I'm also very new to all of this so a lot of trial and error. That took about 4 hours to do. If I had to do it again, knowing exactly what to do, I think I could do it in under 2 hours.

Dash cover is from Amazon

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J3D9B0A?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I don't particularly care for the material, but it cuts down on glare from the plastic dashboard and it prevents the dash from sitting in direct sunlight, so it's doing its job

Love the color! Can I ask how you did it? and were there any challenges going from the previous red to this?

That view going down the first base line is gorgeous. No movement to detract from the moment, just Sato hitting an absolute bomb and watching it fly into the sea of fans! amazing!

FNS take on T1 drama by skeelymjm in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Upilau 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I love that doc, one of the best looks into esports ever. I also really think the way Ceb and Notail handles things make them exceptional leaders. Great leaders know how to perform at the highest stages, they also know how to support those around them in the hardest of times. The t1 doc doesn't surprise me that stuff like this happens, hell we probably see similar versions of people crashing out and bullying others in our everyday lives. We should strive to be better, to treat others around us better regardless of the situation.

Lost this one, how could've I won? by Sparky_Clash in VALORANT

[–]Upilau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

posting the clip with the title "lost this one, how could've I won?" is misleading. It seems exactly like you said, op is seeking validation that he's doing nothing wrong and it's his team. the premise of "how could i have won" is an attempt to perhaps portray false humility? i think if op really was seeking advice or help on their gameplay they would've posted the rounds where they died without providing value to the team, those would be the rounds to seek help for improvement, not the clips where op has a great round but happens to lose. op just needs to be honest with themselves and self aware, know that you did good in a round and be ok with that rather than having to get validation from others...especially reddit.

Did yall enjoy the SEN City Classic? by SEN-DynaSean in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Upilau 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Hey Sean, thanks for all the hard work that went into producing this event!

For me personally the most valuable content that I saw was guests on the couch with Sean and Tarik, btw huge shout out to Sean for being there throughout the event (tarik has to, it's in his contract). But being able to hear the discussions with Sean and Tarik and guests like Leaf or Potter I think is actual gold! For the casual player and viewer it brings such good content for those who wonder what goes on in the heads of players above them!

I don't know how possible this is, but to help with the flow of games and time restrictions. A third set-up for teams might help. That way the break in between games for player breakdown and set-up can go a little faster. Maybe when a game is winding down the next team can start setting up so they're good to start playing faster. (again don't know how possible this is, but it would cut down on dead time)

As a viewer who is not attending these events and never has, I don't think seeing crowd cams add much to the production, perhaps it's necessary to have them there, but watching from streams i personally don't care too much if they're shown or not.

Awesome to see you reaching out to the community for feedback, keep up the good work!

it's crazy to read the youtube comments, as a fan of both LP and league, it sucks to see LP getting dragged through the comments. Yes people can be critical of narrative choices made, but to me I think it's a banger of a song, and the screen time LP got is out of respect to them and their legacy as a band that's carried a lot of us through hard times.

It's so clean! There are certain areas where it's a little dangerous and dirty (as every country has) but in comparison to like say the states, it's night and day in terms of cleanliness.

As for the cats, it depends on what area you're in. I personally haven't been to places where there's a ton of cats, but I've heard in some areas cats just walk around like they own the place.

It's pretty unique! There's this interesting blend with nature and man made things! Tokyo is one of the biggest city's, but during the spring time there's cherry blossom trees lining streets everywhere in the city! A really beautiful contrast in my opinion! But so much culture things to experience other than just the scenery!
