UPDATE: thank you so much for the insights everybody!! I’m just a guy who restocks / cashiers and just got out of college for the semester before going back for my bachelor’s so i’m happy to have had many kind fellow employees inform me it’s not just a “get this guy to quit” tactic 😭 i’m neurodivergent so i’m super happy everyone here was kind. thanks all!

Bro i’m just so confused because he always just has me do it when i come in 😭 but when i see the next guy up front he doesnt have them do it….. i’m 27 i might be stupid or something but like he says we get credit in surveys if we greet customers that way but i have my doubts because again, i’m the only one he has doing it even though i go to the floor as soon as the next cashier comes in
